Comment on The Steam Machine calls itself steamdeck in my network
artyom@piefed.social 2 weeks agoI don’t know what they check but my Bazzite desktop is often detected as a Steam Deck, which is infuriating because they apply all the wrong settings, and will even remove others until you reboot the game with ‘steamdeck=0’ and it doesn’t even give you any indication that it’s happening.

Couldn’t run baulders gate with my wife on our beelink in the living room due to the same thing. Bazzite big picture mode thought it was a steam deck and bauldera gate 3 disabled multiplayer for the steam deck so you have to disable it in the commands.
