Mine is not arrived yet so I cannot say if any of these works on the Frame standalone nor if it runs on Proton. But here are the free games/experience I enjoyed when I started VR. Order is kinda from fav to least but not really.
FREE
- The Lab
- Adventure Climb
- ART Plunge
- OpenBrush
- theBlu
- aircar
As a bonus here is a list of games that are very cheap on sale and that I enjoyed. Remember these were NOT tested on a standalone headset nor a GNU/Linux OS!
CHEAP and worthy – Usually less than $5 when on sale
- SUPERHOT VR
- A Fisher Man’s Tale
- Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
- Traffic Jams
- Panoptic

Excellent, thank you! I had some of those in my library and wishlist, but hadn’t heard of some of them. I appreciate it. I hope that you get your Frame soon!

Should arrive soon ;)
“A Fisher Man’s Tale” is an amazing (very short) VR puzzle game. I bought the sequel for when the Frame arrive, can’t wait to play it!
