frongt@lemmy.zip 7 hours agoYeah, and I can see agent files in the daemon repo, so the project is configured for AI. But if I try checking the commit history I get a login page and if I try actually opening files I get the “NO!” on all subsequent pages. Go ahead, try it. Any project hiding their stuff like that makes me very distrustful.

Pretty sure that’s a load-reduction measure due to AI scraping. Git history produces a ton of links which scrapers traverse through and generate load. I’m pretty sure just cloning the repo with git over https works fine.

I passed the Anubis or whatever captcha it was when I first visited the page. You might be right, but they’ve already lost my interest.
