Comment on Has anyone tried using the Steam Machine as an all in one living room entertainment box?
grue@lemmy.world 2 days agoI’ve been having similar ideas and was about to create my own thread until I found this one.
Personally, I want to switch between Steam Big Picture Mode for gaming and Plasma Bigscreen for streaming. Unlike the other reply, I’m fine with the underlying OS being Steam OS as long as I can get it working that way.

That sounds like a great approach actually. I’d probably even have it default to Plasma big screen for the wife with an option to switch to Steam big picture.
