Adventus calendarian and Mob Boss u/Jwoods23 declared today to be Irisch Moos day, but it’s Tabac Tuesday. Luckily, they also suggested how to resolve this merge conflict, and it can be seen looming in the background of my SOTD pic.
My Tabak brush is suddenly shedding much bore bristles than usual. Today it must have lost 100 bristles while typically, it would shed one or two from time to time. Not a good omen for this Zenith knot. I’m hesitating between letting it take its course and immediately replacing it, maybe by a Chisel&Hound badger knot?

I’m Moosless, so I’ll have to stick with Tabac which I’ll use just before hitting the road to do some traveling. Love the SLS idea, btw.

I think the Fanchurian knots are great. If you decide to go that way, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I’m hoping to pick up another C&H brush in today’s handle drop.

100? Wow. How old is the knot?

Yeah, it’s not ideal. The knot was first used in the 2022 Lather Games and has seen about 100 uses
