1simpletailer@startrek.website 5 months agoI mean I was half trolling but also half asking a genuine question. Why do people care so much about Ghost Busters? It was a good movie with a decent sequel 40 years ago, but now we keep getting a mediocre new entry every few years because of Gen X nostalgia bait and a Hollywood that is afraid to take risks and has run out of ideas. The hype always seems so forced.

Well, yeah. There’s a marketing campaign that production companies are pushing for to increase the ROI from greenlighting a film that can’t be too original or else its going to be too risky of an investment.
