stankmut@lemmy.world 7 months agoThat’s pretty much expected for most remasters. They upscale some textures, add more resolution options, and add support for modern systems. It’s like a remastered CD or movie, with the main goal (besides trying to get you to buy it again) being to release a less compressed version of the original.
Remasters that are significantly different from the originals are outliers.

Yeah people need to educate themselves on the difference between a remaster and remake.
A remaster from the music term isn’t necessarily even just quality changes, but can sound or ‘feel’ different. But it’s still based on the original ‘master’ recordings.
