I’ve sort of fine the same thing. Most console games are optimized around their ‘quality’ game mode. Many games will have the quality mode be a solid locked 30 fps while performance will be a low res, blurry mess running at an unlocked frame rate between 40-55 fps. I’ll happily play at 30 fps to avoid those issues.
Do not, my friends, become addicted to 60 fps. It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence!

That’s pretty much expected for most remasters. They upscale some textures, add more resolution options, and add support for modern systems. It’s like a remastered CD or movie, with the main goal (besides trying to get you to buy it again) being to release a less compressed version of the original.
Remasters that are significantly different from the originals are outliers.
