Any society that values privacy should favor products (especially mobile network connected ones) produced in states and countries with strong privacy laws. Local laws can and should address this at import time.

I’m a big fan of certain popular American car manufacturers, so I hope the State of Michigan will up it’s legislative game before my favorite muscle car makers lose too much International traction.
