Telorand@reddthat.com 1 month agoI wonder why that is that zram didn’t make it. Bazzite (and maybe some others) make use of zram, but maybe they feel like their testing doesn’t yet have enough coverage to ship it, and perhaps it will be in 3.6.1 or be added as a late addition to the 3.6.0 build.

Fedora has been using it for years. The only thing that comes to my mind is that maybe it had some issues with the Deck’s standby mode? I wouldn’t think so, but why else would they not ship it for now?

So, I will say that sleep mode on Bazzite uses more power than standard SteamOS, but I have no idea if that’s related to zram usage.
