So while we’re here, is it possible to get MSFS working on Linux?
On PC, only Windows 10 and 11 are supported operating systems. You may or may not be able to run it on other OSes, but this is unsupported and may not work as intended.

Well yeah, but has anyone tried it? If not, I’ll go and see if I can, because VR flight sims are the only thing keeping Windows in my house.
Can only speculate. 2020 version worked with Proton layer, but 2024 version only supports DX12, so it might be a bust.
I thought Proton supports D3D12? There are all sorts of games using this API that run just fine on Linux.
