Ah, Shire ☺️… it’s impossible for me to tire of the scent of grass, tobacco, and adventure. 3 Scots may not be the best pairing, but I’m still trying out it’s fresh spicy scent and finding what it works well with.

Yes, I am, but mostly I wanted to simplify the logistics and manage only one shiny blade that looks super interesting to my toddler for five days when my wife’s on a work trip😅

I haven’t used this soap in over a year. It had really dried out and I should have bloomed it a bit, but I didn’t. As a result, my lather for both passes was pretty thin. I went back to the puck during the first pass but just could not build volume. Not really an opulent shave. I’ll have to revisit this one soon.
Is Opulence the one that has the reputation of not lathering well?
For now, I think it was user error. I don’t recall having difficulty lathering this before but the last time I used it was 9/22. I think that if I bloom it, and have more water in the brush, it will create a better lather. There is no problem with the Wald synthetics. I’ll give it a try again next month, but would be interested to know if it has a reputation for being difficult to lather. This month I’m using a different soap for each shave.

Pleasant evening shave with Ozark. I remembered too late that I’ve been wanting to try @walden@sub.wetshaving.social’s Ozark Mountain + Raconteur combo. Oh well. There’s always next time.

Wonderful shave this morning. This was my first time using Darkfall. I definitely do not need another scent in my collection, but I just could not pass on this one. It is terrific, and as you might expect, I’m very happy I have it. I just had to do a photo even though my time today is limited.
