I realized I was always hearing the same 100 songs in a loop while I had saved over 6000. It was nice to experience “true shuffle” again.

Yup im the same. I could rip my music playlist off of Spotify, but I would lose the weekly playlist thst always contains one or hidden two gems, and the personalised dynamic playlists. For example, if you search “running” Spotify creates a dynamic playlist for running based on your tastes. I could do this myself but I wouldn’t know how. I’ve never been able to find my own music even before Spotify.

Like I’m not gonna really give a shit if someone wants to use Spotify, but to pretend you’re moral about quitting to fold almost immediately AND THEN MAKE A WHOLE ARTICLE TELLING PEOPLE THAT IS ACTUALLY COOL AND GOOD is pathetic.
Idk man buy music from artists you like, become a part of the local scene, find bands you like. Pay them for their music. Go to their shows. Enjoy yourself. Fuck Spotify.
