Studio 60 wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it. I’m still annoyed to this day that it didn’t get renewed for a second season. I think it was just beginning to find its footing but hey, those are the breaks.
It debuted during the same TV season and on the same network as 30 Rock and while they were both very different approaches to the same concept the premises were similar enough that it always felt like one of them was doomed to be a single season affair. NBC was throwing both at the wall and seeing which stuck. Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey just won out over Sorkin in the end.

I am happy that Studio 60 got the wrap up it deserved, but it really did kick the crap out of 30 Rock. Shame nobody else noticed. :)
