Following an undercover probe, the activist group alleges welfare violations by an Atlanta firm that does work for studios including Disney, which the company says are baseless and made in bad faith.
PETA has ties to a terrorist organization, has previously kidnapped and euthanized pets, advocates for the extinction of domesticated animals, and has at least one executive who used animal-derived insulin despite their campaigns against the very same.
I see no reason to give them the benefit of the doubt in any of their publicity stunts. Wake me up when a legitimate organization working for animal welfare has concerns.

Oh boy. I'm really interested in seeing the truth behind these claims.
I recently started watching the series and it's by far the highest quality broadcast show I've seen in a LONG time.

Considering it’s peta, I always take anything they say with a grain of salt. They do more bad than good for making humane treatment of animals happen.

Generally I agree, however they did say that they recorded audio and video of the incidents, which could be legit depending on what they were able to get on tape.
Reading between the lines it kinda sounds to me though that the PETA person was mistreating the animals, tried to get others to do the same, got busted and fired for it, and now PETA is launching this whole campaign to save face. I could be completely wrong though.
