OpenTTD devs clarify store changes with Transport Tycoon Deluxe re-release as Atari contribute server funding

  TLDR is they got in bed with Atari to the detriment of their users because Atari gave them money. But they’re still grateful for user donations lol.

  They then tried to justify it by saying they owe everything to TTD and Chris Sawyer hoping that nobody will notice neither Chris Sawyer or anyone who developed TTD works for Atari (Atari in fact bought the rights from Chris Sawyer). Atari itself is of course just a hollow brand name that’s been passed around corporate entities to empty customer wallets based on nostalgia for over 25 years now.
