Some idiot probably said they could make the difference by upping the price of PS5’s. Some people would buy knowing a price increase was coming and others would buy the higher price. And then looped in the online subscription and other subscriptions. And then probably peppered in some bullshit statistic about piracy, not telling the whole story that lots of pirate players will never be paying customers, even when you force a PS5 console on them and others do become paying customers because they treat piracy as a demo.
It’s not going to be enough to make up for PC players. They’re hoping it will be.

PC is the largest it’s ever been. PC gamer since the 90s and it’s absolutely nuts how big it is. It’s a shock they’re willing to throw a way what is absolutely double digit percentages of players.
