Yeah 128gb is a joke for something that takes up that much space

Reminds me of this story about how Spotify inserts crap so they don’t have to pay royalties
- Comment on GEEKDeck Is A SteamDeck For Your Living Room 1 week ago:
I don’t think game streaming is ever going to take off the way they want it to, especially when things like the switch exist. Internet is just too crappy in too many places for it to ever be a better experience than a console, or in many cases a phone.
- Comment on Surprise! Nuclear Throne has a new update that's mostly for people that insist on only playing games that can do 60fps 1 week ago:
Putting that aside the article wasn’t saying 60fps is enough it was saying it was more than necessary. I assume you can at least tell 30fps from 60
- Comment on Surprise! Nuclear Throne has a new update that's mostly for people that insist on only playing games that can do 60fps 1 week ago:
look, most games just don’t need 60fps, alright Insane take, more so when talking about a game that will run on a pile of wires and string
- Comment on Nioh 3 is coming in 2026, but once again it looks like us PC gamers will have to wait 4 weeks ago:
RPS really has gone to shit I see
- Comment on What is the state of updating the BIOS on the Steam Deck/Bazzite? 5 weeks ago:
SteamOS has been able to update the bios on the Steam Deck forever, I’m assuming since launch. The new patch is just for updating the bios when SteamOS is installed on other devices like the ROG Ally
- Comment on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 doesn't require reflexes, says player who beat the game without dodges or parries 1 month ago:
Yeah I 100%’d it on hard and stuff will one shot you regularly. You don’t have to parry everything but you do have to parry most of the attacks.

I mean I’d assume they’re just talking about when installed on the handhelds Asus already have

- Comment on Spectre Divide shutting down six months after launch reminds us how hard it is to make a live-service game 3 months ago:
Because they’re designed to suck up as much time as possible. You can easily have half the time soent in live service games but not half of the gamers playing a live service title at any given time.

The US and Japan dev teams aren’t the only people working on it, there’s still the “core” team in China, though still doesn’t seem like a good move

Sure but I’m not going to buy a PS5 just to not have to buy the game from the epic game store

I really hope these aren’t epic exclusive but I’m sure I’ll be let down again

- Comment on One of the rarest NES games of all time goes up for auction 11 months ago:
Yeah obviously you can verify it’s real I was just making fun of the verge thinking plugging it in means anything
- Comment on One of the rarest NES games of all time goes up for auction 11 months ago:
I like how they say that you’d be able to tell it was real by plugging it into an NES, as if nobody can make a working NES cart in 2024

- Comment on Steam Deck Users Account for 10% Of All Players Using Steam Input 1 year ago:
I mean steam already provides information on controller support, and will tell you if a game supports the controller you currently have plugged in. Afaik they don’t even sell steam controllers anymore.
- Comment on Do you still use your Steam Deck much? 1 year ago:
I generally play the more demanding games on my desktop and use it for 2d stuff when I’m away from home.

They’re battle passes you unlock with the premium currency (which you can also slowly earn in game)
- Comment on Steam says those hours you time criminals put in during advanced access now count toward the refund allowance 1 year ago:
Yeah I usually wait for sales/reviews/patches etc to play the better version of the game, especially for AAA releases. It depends on the type of game as well for early access, I had a lot of fun playing Hades and Dead Cells before the full release and I’ll be buying Hades II as soon as they let me (I played the technical test and it’s going to be great). I think those being roguelites helps as opposed to something like a long RPG; I wouldn’t want to replay a 200 hour jrpg to see the changes they added in act 2 but with roguelites that’s just how you play the game already.
- Comment on Steam says those hours you time criminals put in during advanced access now count toward the refund allowance 1 year ago:
I don’t mind early access when it’s done properly by a competent transparent dev. There are many many cases it being abused though and I’ll generally only buy an early access game if I really trust the developers.
- Comment on Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Benchmark Software Lets You Test PC Performance And Create A Character Before Launch 1 year ago:
I mean there isn’t really much reason to build a demo that’s more optimized than the actual game would he, unlike with those examples I feel like to the kind of people who would actually download this and test it, it would be easy to verify if there’s any fuckery going on when the game actually comes out. It’s almost certainly just the engine from the game with most of the assets removed.
