I am astounded at how slow governments are to deal with urgency: stochastic terrorism, foreign interference, climate emergency.

It hard to not believe that it’s on purpose. Going way out on a limb, I could believe that intelligence agencies, not just USAs are trying to throw some sort of slow motion coups to create a new modern way of living under tech and surveillance.

I think so, yes. Slovenia and Finland are relatively proactive countries that tackle issues. Finland “ended” homelessness, for just one example. And Slovenia has tackled many issues that Anglo nations are forever dithering over.
