  the most likely case (I’m speculating here) is that Valve didn’t give them permission but you would think for such a thing dbrand would have gotten it cleared first.

  You mean like the dark plates were cleared? Dbrand seems to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

  Someone like dbrand should be well versed in IP rights. Making deals should be a core competency.

  This should make anyone question their quality and legitimacy.

      Nice. Thats exactly how i read dbranbs apology letter. Theyre hoping an angry mob would turn up at valves doorstep. Only valve has a warehouse of positive karma built up for just such an attempt. Lolflol.

  There are now several cross posts here on Lemmy with their reasoning in their own words. It didn't vanish, they got pee pee slapped and told no because they didn't ask permission. People who pr-ordered are being notified and will be refunded without 24 hours according to their post on reddit.
