Here’s an actual news link, for a bit more in-depth coverage of the event. Looks like things are getting interesting in up in Minnesota… as they should!
Reminds me of Mord auf dem Abort (Murder on the privy), a German folk song about a count who loudly farts towards the commoners in his village every morning. Because he does this from one of those toilets which juts out from the castle wall, the commoners decide to sabotage the wooden supports during the night. The next morning, the count goes to do his business, only for the toilet to collapse. He ends up falling to his death, landing unceremoniously in a pile of his own sewage. The local officials carry out an investigation to find out who did it, but everyone refuses to say who did it. Then when the investigators leave, everyone celebrates having helped to kill the count.

This isn’t true! Cameras fall down all the time. It’s just part of their natural life cycle once a camera pole reaches a certain height.

Ahh, yeah… those poles would live for centuries but for the weird, newly evolved Termitodae Metalliferans Floccus which is now being discovered up in more parts of the area.
Interesting creature! Selective adaptation at it’s best, I’d say.
This is one that I will not consider an invasive species.
