So I got the email saying I made the reservation queue on the 17th, and it says I’ll get another email when it’s ready to ship. Thus far I have not received any other emails yet. Should I be worried something has fallen through the cracks yet?
For clarity I have confirmed this is the reservation queue and not the wait list.
They’ll send you an invoice eventually, and you’ll need to pay within 3 days. Then a couple days later they should send you the tracking info. I paid 4 days ago and got shipping info a couple days ago
I use this website to track self reported numbers related to the release. According to it, about 50% of people were able to order, numbers growing slowly but steady.
I haven’t gotten a follow up email yet either.
I figured I was probably being impatient, but it’s always nice to have extra data points and not be the anomaly lol.
I think It’ll take a while to get through everyone. I got on the queue for the controller a bit late and that was about 3 months I think. I’d trust steam won’t lose your order, you’ll probably get several emails.
I think they are using lottery system for the queue position. So you could be the first to go on the waiting list and still have to wait for months or you could go on now and get your order tomorrow.
Say they make a batch of 500 units (I’m pulling these numbers out of my ass btw) and they make 100 a day. They pull the first 500 names of the waiting list and put them in a random order. So you will get a unit within 5 days but wether it will be on the first or fifth is up to chance. Of course we have no idea about the batch sizes and production numbers but it think this is essentially how it works.
I’m more surprised with the fact that they apparently have run out of accessories. Which is weird since these aren’t affected by the chip shortage, unless of course they let you order more than one or each accessory per unit and scalpers gobbled them all up.

i got mine yesterday. it takes a while.
