I know Lemmy hates AI, but this might be helpful information for some in this community. If you forgot your pppoe password in your modem, 😉, just ask an AI model to help you recover it. Normally you just need to get a backup of your modem configuration, it can be done from your modem UI, and give it to the AI along with your modem model and the SOC that is based on, in case the AI doesn’t know. The AI will extract the password from the backup and you won’t have to worry to loose it again. Put your modem in bridged mode and save the password on your personal router for safe keeping. Chinese models work best, the US ones might refuse to help.
