- Comment on Best deck games for a flight? (as in...possibly running on batteries) 8 months ago:
Same here. Even just as a backup in case of unexpected travel hiccups, a large (airline approved) PD-capable battery back is very handy to have. I never worry about finding an outlet in an aircraft or airport, and I’ve spent my fair share of time stranded in transit.
- Comment on [Discussion] New month, new games. What are you playing on your Deck? - March 2024 9 months ago:
Yeah I can’t decide if I should wait for their port before I play through MM. Harkinian is an incredible piece of work and being able to play OoT at 60 fps using a modern dual stick setup with a free camera is really nice.

Ocarina of Time, for the very first time, via Ship of Harkinian. Just completed the Forest Temple and having a great time!

I played D2 on the deck and it worked fine after tuning the graphics settings. Though I fully admit when things for tricky I docked and used kb&m.

Just started finally playing through Manifold Garden and after switching to M&K emulation with the stick and touchpad, plus some tweaks, it’s played extremely well.

Played that for the first time… two years ago, despite being a teenager when it came out? I’m not typically a JRPG fan but Chrono Trigger is outstanding. Enjoy the journey!
- Comment on Grindy games on Deck 10 months ago:
How do you define grind? I went from zero to sixty hours in Rimworld in the span of a few weeks and IMO it plays quite well on the deck (not perfect, but surprisingly well for a traditionally M&K PC game).

Blows my mind that none of these devices include touchpads. I swear half the games I play use the touchpads, whether it’s FPS-style games or something like Rimworld or Gunpoint.
- Comment on The Legion Go made me thankful for my Steam Deck 1 year ago:
Yeah, but… think about it for a second: we’re now in a world where a Linux-based OS is, in certain contexts, better for playing games built for Windows than Windows.
As a person who’s been running Linux on his devices for almost 30 years now, that’s incredible and I absolutely understand why folks would’ve initially been skeptical.
- Comment on Steam :: Steam Deck :: SteamOS 3.5.5 Update 1 year ago:
Update went smooth here, both Deck and Dock. Sorry to hear you’re having so much trouble.
