I’m not sure about Vita, but there is a decent 3DS emulator (Citra). I haven’t tested MGS3 on it

Thanks, I got it working! Well all except the ragdoll mod because that requires you to have all the DLC :(

I’ll give those two a go! Looking into it, I think I’d need the following mods to get these to work, which isn’t too bad: B42 Weapon inertia Ragdolls JIP LN NVSE JohnnyGuitar NVSE NC Compatibility skeleton The Mod Configuration Menu (optional)
One thing I’m not sure about… I installed MO2 on my Deck using this guide which also installs NVSE. But how do I know what version of NVSE it installed? A few mods mention they need a particular version of NVSE.

Some of those look nice! I notice that a lot have pre-requisite mods, and those require their own pre-requisites 😱 I’ll see if I can find some easy to install ones

I’ve started a new playthrough of Fallout New Vegas. Never got round to finishing it last time, so hopefully will do now! So far I’ve added some stability mods and a new radio station. Anyone got any other mod recommendations?

If you like puzzles and open world games, have you tried The Witness? There are a lot of puzzles to complete so it should take you a while!
Not currently on sale on Steam, but it does drop it price regularly. Depending how you feel about key reselling sites, you might be able to get it cheaper.

Unfortunately emulation isn’t all that great for these games on Deck. The PS2 versions are laggy. PS3 actually works a lot better than expected, although one of the final scenes in MGS3 has some slowdown. If this version can be fixed, it may be the best option for the deck. I’m definitely not paying the price they’re charging though.

That’s clever! For something where you need a keyboard constantly that seems like a good solution. (Although for a game like that I’d have thought an actual keyboard would be kinda the point lol)
- Comment on Modding in games 1 year ago:
Thank you! I’ll see if I can get it running at some point in the near future :)
- Comment on Modding in games 1 year ago:
Ah thanks - are you aware of any essential bug/stability fixes I should go for in particular?
- Comment on Modding in games 1 year ago:
The different mod loaders really confuse me. Do Vortex and MO2 offer pretty much the same thing? Will it show on Steam that I’m playing Skyrim/New Vegas etc. and log my hours ok (rather than saying I’m playing the mod loader)?
Follow up question: What mods should I get for Fallout NV if I were to try this out? (I’ve never actually finished that game)

The game looks ok, but you’re just kinda spamming at this point? 🤷♂️ This is just an advert, not really a discussion.

The Steam controller seems great. I’d love Steam to bring out a V2, with all the buttons and trackpads of the Deck minus the screen. That would be perfect for playing whilst outputting on a TV.
And yeah, I can’t believe it’s free! I love dungeon crawl style games and this is just perfect.

ctrl+1 and ctrl+2. Buuuut it doesn’t work when a game is running :(
I’ve considered learning python to try and write a plugin that could help with this… but I don’t imagine I’ll be ready with that any time soon as I basically have no programming knowledge.

Yes I use the wiiu downloader. Nice and easy

Hmm you may need to check a Yuzu discord or something for more specific tips. It may just be that Yuzu isn’t yet optimised for RDR?

What settings are you using? I’ve heard turning CPU accuracy to unsafe helps. I’m yet to actually try it myself though!

- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
I’ve heard they’re good for chess too
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Thanks for the idea! I’ll look into this. Could be useful from a more generic perspective (i.e. just some kind of bluetooth vibration device that could attach to the Deck rather than a sex toy).
Sex toy genuinely would be great though lmao

*buttlog?
Usually would it be a case of game devs integrating buttplug.io support?
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
This may actually be the perfect solution! Internal vibration. Imagine playing Forza and feeling your insides jiggle as you accelerate through a corner. Possibly the closest thing to actually driving a car.
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Yes, that is exactly what I want xD
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Ah, I would definitely struggle then! I guess my most realistic options would either be to take apart the Deck and replacing the existing motor with a stronger one, or hope that someone smarter than me has a similar idea and can code a driver
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
How difficult would it be create a driver like that? Would someone with virtually no coding experience have any chance?
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Yes that’s right. The default ones are extremely weak!

- Comment on [Question] Switch and Deck users, which games do you still prefer to play on switch? 1 year ago:
Basically any indies or games that have been ported to Switch, you’re gonna get better performance on the Deck.
There are a few games like Okami which do neat things with the joycons and go on sale often enough that I can justify buying them on the Switch.
I still get the occasional Nintendo exclusive on my Switch for the sake of convenience. I’m too lazy to try and emulate TOTK on the Deck for example.
