Spider-Man is good too if you haven’t played it yet. Runs well on the Steam Deck.
Ecksell@lemmy.one 1 year ago
Spider-Man Remastered was indeed great! I beat it then went right to Miles Morales. It’s been a Spider-Man kick here haha!

My Steam Deck is a “Baba is me” machine right now, most of the time. It is a neat little puzzle game to play while sitting on the couch.
beastlykings@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
So frustrating at times! Some of the harder puzzles are ridiculously convoluted

Deck is currently being borrowed by my dad to play Zero Dawn, but last I had it, I was using it for Final Fantasy VII Intergrade.

This is so dumb, but:
The new Forza Motorsport has a system where you have to drive a car for like 3 hours before you’re able to upgrade all of the parts on it. Regardless of how many credits you have.
So I’ve been using xCloud to “play” Forza with all of the driving assists on—accelerating, braking, shifting—all of it, just to level up cars to the point I unlock all of the upgrades to that car. (Offline, of course. Not gonna mess up someone else’s game because of Microsoft’s weird ideas on progression.)
So “AFK racing” has been running on my Deck more than any other game this week.
pepsison52895@lemmy.one 1 year ago
How are you running Xcloud? Are you running Windows?
smort@lemmy.world 1 year ago
No but I am running Edge browser. Microsoft has a good walkthrough
Firefeet@pawb.social 1 year ago
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen I just wanted to see how well it ran (decently enough, a few more stutters / slowdowns than I hoped but certainly playable) and now it has been the main game I’ve played for several weeks 😅 Game is fun :b

Spiritfarer, which looks like it’s related to Stardew Valley, but turns pretty damn dark at times. Also Baldur’s Gate 3, Stray and Hollow Knight.
BG3 really needs to be played plugged in as it eats battery like crazy and also helps with a bigger screen. At which point I might as well go down to the big computer.

Finally got around to playing Carrion. It's a great game for the deck and is a massive amount of fun.
_haha_oh_wow_@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
Carrion is a pretty good SD game.

Tomb raider 2013. Doing solo at 100%

Just started playing Slime Rancher and it’s a pretty fun relaxing game. I picked up Slime Rancher 2 as well but am waiting until I finish the first game to start playing it again.

Binding of isaac

Factorio and I just picked up a game called Outpath (similar to Forager, but in 3d! and other minor changes.

Currently going through every Metroidvania Castlevania posterior to Symphony, went through the Advance Collection and had to resort to emulation for the NDS ones, currently on Portrait of Ruin. After that we’ll see.

still vampire survivors 😵💫

Ni No Kuni II. It’s a fun RPG that’s easy to put down and come back to when you have time. The combat is fun too, though the voice overs are a bit distracting.
sunred@discuss.tchncs.de 1 year ago
I recently discovered Tinykin, neat little game.
kerf@lemmy.world 1 year ago
I hope to play some more Baldur’s Gate III. I’ll probably stream it from my main computer since the fan noise is so loud otherwise. It’s been a while since tried to run it on the Steam Deck so there might have been some updates, gonna try it again! I’ll probably make some progress in Stardew Valley and Hades too, both wonderful games for the Deck!
Fubarberry@sopuli.xyz 1 year ago
A friend got me into Honkai Star Rail, so that’s been taking up most of my time.
Other than that, I’ve also been playing Black Mesa and Trolley Delayma which is a free little trolley problem game.
I’m still putting off Baldur’s Gate 3 hoping for FSR 2 to be added, but with silence from the devs on when/if that’s being added, I’ll probably go ahead and start playing it soon.
Ecksell@lemmy.one 1 year ago
How did you get HSR running on a Steam Deck?
Fubarberry@sopuli.xyz 1 year ago
There’s a 3rd party launcher for it. They’ve asked people not to link it, but I’ll send you a DM.

Trails into Reverie. Then onto Kuro No Kiseki.

been playing West of loathing and shadows over loathing lately. Fun and stupid, nice to be able to play them on deck
NabeGewell@lemmy.world 1 year ago
No Man’s Sky for few months now.
Also started Hellblade, its very easy to get stuck in that game it seems
Fubarberry@sopuli.xyz 1 year ago
I had to break myself away from No Man’s Sky after about 100 hours or so, felt like it would completely consume me.
NabeGewell@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Not as “bad” as rimworld, unlike nms that game requires attention all the time, and is even more addicting to me :D
AusatKeyboardPremi@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Hollow Knight.
I started playing it at the start of this week, and have been completely hooked into it.
What I find pleasantly surprising is that I gave the game a few chances over the years, but it just didn’t click. Perhaps as I was playing on a PS, and I find it very odd to play platformers and similar games on it.

High on life since I don’t get to play much but have a marginal stack of games to get through. Good game so far and very witty

Aaaaaaannd I’m done…
Panda@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Baldur’s Gate 3, mostly. But I’ve been playing Pathfinder Wrath of The Righteous when the others in the group I play with can’t play.
zipkag@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Just finished shadow of Mordor yesterday and it was fun, and worked perfect on the deck. Today I started Darkwood, seems to be working reasonably well so far, although the run versus walk controls are a little clunky, but overall no big issues just an hour in to it
pipariturbiini@sopuli.xyz 1 year ago
Played most of COCOON during a recent airplane round-trip. Also started Pocket Mirror, I got an RPG Maker fever after playing Corpse Party.
NeryK@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
Mine has mostly become a YouTube player for my kid. It also runs Roblox, and the occasional Counter-Strike 2.

I’ve started a new playthrough of Fallout New Vegas. Never got round to finishing it last time, so hopefully will do now! So far I’ve added some stability mods and a new radio station. Anyone got any other mod recommendations?
dannydotcafe@lemmy.zip 1 year ago
For a long time I went down crazy modding rabbit holes for the fallout games, spending more time modding than actually playing. I finally decided to just pick a setup and stick with it so I could actually enjoy the game. I ended up following this guy’s modlist which has a nice focus on the essentials.
OmegaMouse@feddit.uk 1 year ago
Some of those look nice! I notice that a lot have pre-requisite mods, and those require their own pre-requisites 😱 I’ll see if I can find some easy to install ones
Cowbee@lemm.ee 1 year ago
A bit late, but this list has a number of issues, notably things like ENB. For anyone wanting a minimal mod list, Viva New Vegas is the gold standard.
Cowbee@lemm.ee 1 year ago
Viva New Vegas is a fantastic one stop shop.
