Nowadays, I mostly don’t even care about compatibility issues anymore and just expect a game to work in Linux, which is just freaking cool. Obviously, some competitive MP games are off the table due to anti-cheat, but that isn’t my main gaming category nowadays so it works out.
- Comment on Palworld is getting anticheat, but it shouldn't cause issues for Steam Deck/Linux because it will be mostly optional 8 months ago:
I just hope they’re using EAC and remember to tick that box for Linux support.
- Comment on [Game] FSR 2.2 has finally been added to Baldur's Gate 3 11 months ago:
It’s so much better than FSR 1, but there’s a slight 2-3 fps performance penalty in some areas. In particular, I noticed a bit of extra juddering when you get to Last Light Inn.
- Comment on How do I use ProtonVPN on my Steam Deck in desktop mode? 1 year ago:
Also supports Wireguard profiles as well!
- Comment on My Steam Deck's arriving 1 year ago:
My friend just did his SSD upgrade. He said that it was a bit harder than what the guides online made it seem, but he eventually completed it, so just be patient and don’t rush. In particular, he said that the tab to pull off the battery connector is pretty brittle.
- Comment on Valve: don’t expect a faster Steam Deck ‘in the next couple of years’ 1 year ago:
I am actually hoping more for a Steam Machine. A standalone VR headset will be dead in the water. It won’t have enough processing power to power any PCVR experiences adequately.

If only my usb-c dock supported it hahaha. Any alternatives to the official dock to get this kind of support?

You can now configure Flatpak app permissions via KDE System Settings -> Applications -> Flatpak Permission Settings. It basically does the same thing that Flatseal does, except it now comes out of the box. No need to install a separate app.

Nice, they added
flatpak-kcm
. No need to install Flat seal anymore. Also the sRGB gamut looks much better. No wonder people were complaining about the steam decks screen.

And to think that everybody was pissed as hell when Steam first got introduced with HL2 and CS…how far we’ve come haha.
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
They can be stronger but then they start making audible noises. The original steam controller had stronger haptics and it sounded super loud.
- Comment on Would it be theoretically possible to create a 'vibration module' for the Deck? 1 year ago:
Yeah because they’re just using the haptics meant to provide feedback when you use the touchpads.
- Comment on Anyone else? 1 year ago:
Oh man, the controller support is so much better in the final release than in the Early Access. They even swap the entire interface to be more controller friendly. The amount of care Larian gave this game is frankly astonishing.
