I don’t believe he really cares about Twitter anymore.

At this point, an integration with x/twitter seems really odd.
- Comment on Steam Beta adds Bluetooth device battery info for Steam Deck, specific device toggles for Bluetooth wake from sleep 6 months ago:
The battery info was already working for me on desktop mode. It even has a nice bubble when the battery of the controller is low.
Glad that this is coming to game mode, too.

Thanks you for the clarification!
- Comment on Steam Deck game library now 29% larger than that of Nintendo Switch 6 months ago:
According to Wikipedia, there are less than 5000 games for nintendo switch, while the Steam Deck is far beyond 10k games.

Just guessing, I really don’t expect a Steam Deck release this year. But 2025 seems quite likely to me.
- Comment on Steam Deck: 2 Years Later! 8 months ago:
Back then I was on reddit every week to find out when I might be able to order the steam deck. I got mine in may or june if memory serves me right.

This looks great! It would be even better if they improve the handling of multiple accounts on the steam deck.

I bought the steamdock from Skull & Co. This dock works fine, however it does have very few connectors (USB-A, HDMI, USC-C).

It’s also nice that you can easily return games if they don’t run well on your system (at least with steam).
- Comment on Intel’s 6.2 GHz Core i9-14900KS is a reminder of why the MHz wars ended 9 months ago:
As expected, the Core i9-14900KS only shows marginal gains over the vanilla 14900K, with a 3.8% lead in single-threaded work and a 1.5% lead in multi-threaded work.
And all this with more than 25% TDP increase. That’s insane.
- Comment on Stadia controller not reconnecting 9 months ago:
Thanks for the suggestion, after switching Bluetooth off and on again, both controllers are able to connect again. This is at lot faster than removing and pairing.
Still unclear to me why this happens. Does anyone have this problem with other (non-stadia) controllers too?

- Comment on Which steam deck 9 months ago:
Yes, I would go for the OLED. There is no OLED with 64 GB, only with 512 GB and one TB. Alternatively, you could go for the 64 GB IPS model, which is quite cheap.
Every Steam Deck can be expanded with micro SD cards. I don’t notice a difference where the game is stored, but I also don’t track startup times with a stopwatch ;) But please buy a decent micro SD card if you plan to extend your storage.

You’re right, it is probably designed for china.
- Comment on A Suprising Discovery Inside The Steam Deck's APU - the LCD APU has multiple unused cores that were later removed for the OLED version 11 months ago:
Even if you managed to activate them, they would probably not be useful for a gaming handheld, as they were designed for image processing.

Bluetooth works fine for me, just as you would expect it. But I don’t know about your specific headphones.

Start with creating a steam account and start looking around. Put the games you’d like to buy on your wishlist. There is a big sale just about every two months, with smaller sales in between. Most games are heavily discounted during the sales, so waiting a few weeks can save you a lot of money.
With the steam deck, you can also play games from other stores like epic, but the setup is a little bit more complicated.

Whats the target audience for this? This looks like a cheaper copy of the steam deck, but at a similar price.

Maybe the limitation is meant in the geograpical sense and not in quantity?

I’m really amazed in what valve did with the new steam deck. They really did a good job addressing many of the little pain points, while keeping most of the equipment compatible.
However, I am very happy with the current steam deck and will only replace it if a true next-gen deck arrives.

I really enjoyed both Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Beautiful 2D platformer with great soundtrack. Find the bundle on Steam
