Got a link for evidence? I’ve had an overall good impression of Liam and the GoL site; this is the first I’ve heard that’s negative.

The text isn’t too small for Deck? Inventory management is okay too? I love the series but it’s far from the first thing that comes to mind for me on handheld.

I did a full playthrough of Hollow Knight when I got my OLED deck (except some of the extra Godhome challenge stuff). It was gorgeous and got 8-9 hours of play from a full charge. Highly recommended.

I wouldn’t recommend RDR2 here because you need a net connection to launch the game.

One other longshot: You didn’t say what game but if it’s a smaller / indie title you could try reaching out to the devs and saying “Hey you know this would be a ton of fun on a tablet or PC touchscreen”. You never know, maybe they didn’t considere that, but they might agree that it’s a great idea and add it officially.

Chronos’ guide is the most comprehensive one I know but I don’t see anything there about trackpad multi-touch.
How about using the touchscreen? Many sources claim it accepts 10-finger input. Of course the game itself would probably have to support that (common on mobile but rare on PC). Or maybe there’s a plugin somewhere to map specific screen region touches to other input buttons and such.
- Comment on Protective case or not? 10 months ago:
I have the Jsaux mod case. The grippy texture is great and feels so much better to hold than the plastic of the Deck, especially for long or more intense sessions where my hands might get a little sweaty.
The attachment features on the case are honestly kind of a gimmick (I mainly got it because I wanted the USB Hub) and the kickstand is a bit too heavy (but very sturdy) IMO. I do like the snap-on protective cover though, it’s made well.
The Killswitch is more expensive but would probably provide all the same benefits.

My LE arrived today but it was DOA. Faulty power circuit, never even turned on once :(

It’s peak 1000 nits with HDR. The base full-panel max is 600 nits. Still, it’s a big jump over the 400 on the previous LCD model.

According to LTT, Valve went a bit easier on the battery glue this time. So that will be easier to replace.
However according to Dave2D, the dimensions are slightly bigger so the new 50 Wh battery won’t fit in older Decks.

That’s basically all this is, same as they did for other components like fans and SSDs already.
The new wifi chip might be faster or support more recent standards, but that’s hardly worth even calling it a product refresh.
