Too late, I already spun up a matrix server with livekit; only took a couple hours.
Looking forward to seeing these tools be refined, between this and the EU investing into the alternatives, it’s another win for open source.

Chipotle’s solution for customers no longer coming in the door is to raise prices yet again. Corporations need a reckoning.

The page was broken for me, here’s a direct link to Valve’s post.

Cool, I’ll continue to not buy their games, but even moreso.

One person in the thumbnail seems vaguely familiar, and now they are associated with an immediately untrustworthy statement, bravo for that I suppose.
- Comment on Far Cry series will push multiplayer "more predominantly" going forwards, according to Ubisoft boss 5 months ago:
Not to be that guy, but this is incorrect. The first Far Cry titles had impressive map editors on console. It was so much fun building, sharing, and playing them over xbconnect back in the day. I would love to see the return of this, but I’m sure the implementation will be something more along the lines of live service enshittification.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong's early mods sand off its more annoying edges, including double damage and distant spawns 5 months ago:
It is a damn shame and will only get worse as the Robloxification continues.

- Comment on Splitgate 2 boss admits the Trumpish hat he wore at Summer Game Fest was a publicity stunt after it goes sour 8 months ago:
It is fine but I’ll be damned if I’m going to reward ‘fine’ after this bullshit non-apology.
- Comment on Can the Steam Deck play AAA games in 2025? (spoiler alert : mostly do) 9 months ago:
Thank you, this was my first thought. We’re tired of AAA slop that’s almost always perpetually online, rushed, derivative, and riddled with microtransactions/battlepass subscriptions. Not to mention they’re about to start trying to charge us 80 bucks a title. Let the industry rot.
- Comment on Electronic music rhythm game Spin Rhythm XD recently added Linux / Steam Deck support 10 months ago:
Have been playing this on Steam Deck since the handheld released and it’s fantastic with the trackpads. Also a big fan of the audio syncing features as bluetooth has a good deal more latency than speakers. My only wish for the title is that it allows us to save settings per device in lieu of having to remember the particular number of milliseconds for each one.

Same, apparently 2v2 (and 4v4 customs) were just added this month and so I hope the population keeps trending upwards. Their Discord is highly recommended if you’re into that kind of thing.

Excited for this one. I’m not typically a factory building kind of gamer, but am willing to convert.

Fuck AAA studios; long live indie gaming.
- Comment on Horizon Zero Dawn and Helldivers 2 are getting movies plus a Ghost of Tsushima anime is coming 1 year ago:
Precisely. I’d like to think that something even more transgressive than Starship Troopers can rise out of the corporate muck but I’m not going to hold my breath. Such “good news.”

- Comment on Risk Of Rain 2 creators “still believe that Gearbox is heading in the right direction” despite troubles with recent DLC 1 year ago:
I think that the team working on the DLC did the best they could with what time and resources they were given, which isn’t a stretch to guess wasn’t enough,” ROR2 lead programmer, co-designer, and concept artist Jeffrey Hunt told PCGamesN. “I remember the team at Gearbox we worked with on the Survivors of the Void DLC was doing really well, particularly on the new stages.” Still, Hunt said, “Seeing some of the rushed changes crippling that work is difficult.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director says "almost all games should cost more at a base level" because they cost so much to make 1 year ago:
If they think this is bad, just wait until the tools to make games are further democratized. It’s already difficult to stay up with the latest hotness in the Indie scene and people are burned out on live service shenanigans.
- Comment on Owners Report Valve’s Priciest Steam Deck Model Has A Cracking Problem 1 year ago:
I’ve given up concerning myself with what others think and went with a coral (pink) phone this go-around. While this probably won’t pertain to your bro, it nicely sidesteps the issue.
