The article mentions that the fine will stand and likely be doubled, but I feel like for arguments that are especially stupid, like this one, it should be doubled again.
There are enough corporate loopholes as it is, I can only imagine the chaos if this were allowed.

Is my $5 down preorder still valid?
- Comment on This Year's Gamescom Showed Us A Ton of Devs Care About Steam Deck Support - SteamDeckHQ 3 months ago:
I thought the same for a long time. I had a gaming PC, I had my Switch (or earlier Nintendo consoles), I was covered. Eventually my gaming PC reached the end of the road (15+ years, minor upgrades along the way.) I was happy enough without it so I decided against building a new gaming PC.
Then Baldur’s Gate 3 was announced. I knew I’d need a new gaming PC to play it. Of course alternatives like Stadia showed up at that time, but we know how that story ends, and it ends before BG3 came out.
Steam Deck truly is a savior. I can play the latest games. I can play my old games. I can emulate games.
Plus unlike Android it feels like a Linux machine underneath. I don’t say that to shame Android, but I don’t feel like I own the device. I can customize a lot, but I’m just a user. But the Steam Deck? I can open the hood if I like and it’s a Linux machine with a built in touch screen and controller. It’s my PC.

The nice thing about BG3 is that it isn’t going anywhere. In fact it’s getting a little extra polish the longer you wait (not that it needs it, just as a bonus).
BG3 was an excellent game a year ago, it’s an excellent game today, and I feel confident in saying it will be an excellent game for years to come.
It’s not some live service play every day for a chance to win a hat game. It isn’t an MMO where a year from now every will have moved on to new content. It isn’t a game with season passes and unrelated DLCs that screw up the balance or over gear your starting character or awkwardly take you out of the main game.
It’s just a solidly excellent game.

Game of Thrones ended absolutely terribly.
I swore I wouldn’t watch House of the Dragon.
I caved and watch it. I really enjoyed it.
Dunk & Egg, especially the first story, is my favorite spin off. I’m excited to give this a watch.
- Comment on Supergirl Found: Milly Alcock to Play Heroine in James Gunn’s DC Movies 10 months ago:
She went from relatively small roles to starring in an HBO TV show (albeit for less than one season) to a lead role in a comic book film franchise. That’s a huge leap.
As long as the film is just OK she’ll do fine and set herself up for plenty more work. Look at Daisy Ridley, Star Wars is obviously a bigger franchise and the films with her were poorly received (generally) but everyone recognizes it wasn’t her fault and now she’s got plenty of films lined up.
Also look at the terrible Sony Marvel films, Tom Hardy did two (soon three) of those, Jared Leto & Matt Smith did Morbius, Aaron Taylor-Johnson & Russell Crowe have Kraken coming out. Those are sizable actors doing terrible films, I’m confident they got paid. (Also Dakota Johnson & Sydney Sweeney will be in Madame Web, smaller actors but money for sure.)
In general taking the big franchise is a safe bet. It used to be safer in MCU land, but still safe. DC you have to hope, but at least Gunn has a good track record so far.

I just hope Larry David isn’t retiring. Maybe he can just jump back into the “character” whenever he’s bored.

Me. Ok, I wasn’t asking for it, but I would see this.
Since it’s only AMC theaters I probably won’t (not that I have a strong distaste for AMC, they are just the least convenient for me.)
