The one true deck!

Mine looks like this too.
PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Stock cuz I just use the damn thing
FishFace@piefed.social 3 weeks ago
But have you considered installing a different OS every day and posting about which one you’re going to install next?
PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Nah but mine is the rare white limited edition one so uhh it’s sorta different

I like it!
Kess8a@lemy.lol 3 weeks ago
Pretty basic all things considered, I’m hoping to get new sticks for it once the stock ones go bad
MimicJar@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
When do the stock ones go bad? I’ve got 500+ hours of playtime on mine and they still feel like new.

Looks slick.
YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 3 weeks ago
Omg! I never thought about a joystick cap! I tend to be rough with my sticks cause I’m huge and strong and play “rage” games. My center rubber on the left just feel out a little bit ago and a call would be perfect! Thanks dude!

Mine was basic, but well loved and sadly lost to a disaster 😢 RIP my deck. Go give your steamdecks a little attention!
P1nkman@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Vanilla. I am going to make it pink some day.

Mine looks exactly like it did when it came out of the box. Technically I’ve added a screen protector/diffusor, as I hate glare on screens, but you can’t really tell it’s even there. I also swapped the nvme to a buffet one, but obviously that isn’t visible either.
Needless to say, I don’t care about the looks of my financial things.

Bone stock, unless you look inside and I replaced the hard drive with a higher capacity one.
Estebiu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 weeks ago
Same. What size ssd did you put?
nocturne@slrpnk.net 3 weeks ago
2tb, I got it months before the RAMpocalypse.
SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 3 weeks ago
How did you change that screen?
Localhorst86@feddit.org 3 weeks ago
Not OP, but presumably they used a Decky Plugin called CSS Loader. You can use it to costumize the layout.
SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 3 weeks ago
Cool.
I’ll have to give it a try.
That’s really clean.
TheMinions@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 weeks ago
Decky Plugins, I’d wager.

OOOOOH LOVE THEM BUTTONS
natecox@programming.dev 3 weeks ago
Holy shit I need that pink skin (stop it). Where can I get it?
eleijeep@piefed.social 3 weeks ago
I have a stand for mine so that I don’t have to lean it against my cock.
gwl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 weeks ago
Ooh might have to invest in that, any reccs?
Estebiu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 weeks ago
Nice color. And nice joystick protectors.
Estebiu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 weeks ago
Does the pressure thing work with them installed?
Quibblekrust@thelemmy.club 3 weeks ago
Generally, no, because it’s a capacitive sensor and most plastics don’t conduct electricity. You’d need to find a pair that says it supports the sensors. Mine don’t, but I never used that feature anyway.
Davel23@fedia.io 3 weeks ago
I can't speak for OP, but I have third-party joystick caps on my Steamdeck and the touch sensors still work fine.
rob_t_firefly@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Mine is the stock unit, in a purple snap-on protective case, but the back of the unit (underneath the protective case) has my username permanently etched into the back and the etching filled with enamel paint, just in case I lose it or have to prove it’s mine.
This stems from when some jerk tried to steal my childhood Game Boy, but was foiled by the fact that I’d written my name on the unit behind the batteries and thereby proved “their” Game Boy was mine.
HotsauceHurricane@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
That’s a good damn idea.
gwl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 weeks ago
The default
moonlight@fedia.io 3 weeks ago
Mine has a transparent purple shell swap (I kept the original buttons), and a decksight screen upgrade.
Carl@anarchist.nexus 3 weeks ago
I’ve thought about doing a transparent purple shell swap. Very reminiscent of the old GameBoy Color case.
moonlight@fedia.io 3 weeks ago
Yes I love the retro look. I'm happy that transparent electronics are making a bit of a comeback.
I'd say it's worth doing, although It was a pretty involved install process. I don't know if I would have done it if I wasn't also replacing the screen at the same time - it's basically a complete teardown.
mursejoy@lemmy.zip 3 weeks ago
My wife would love this one!
My setup is just the OLED with the Satisfye grip case. Peak simplicity for my little emudeck.
