- Comment on [QUICK QUESTION] Steam Deck Mirroring on my Android Tab with cable 1 week ago:
Your dock won’t work, as its most likely HDMI out only (not in). Even a lot of the capture cards that do have HDMI in tend to have a lot of delay, same with a lot apps that would encode a signal over USB, which would also have a performance hit on your Steamdeck as well. I unfortunately can’t think of a good solution except maybe upgrading your wifi access point and using a wired network connection with your Steamdeck, but by then you mind as well just buy an external USB-C display.
- Comment on 8BitDo announces it's controllers now have Steam/SteamOS compatibility 2 weeks ago:
You can! They have replacement buttons for whichever layout you want for fairly cheap. I’m using the original ultimate Bluetooth with an Xbox layout.

I hope the steamVR client gets updated so I can use my quest 3 on it with the remote play app. One of the few things that keeps me dualbooting windows.
- Comment on Has the Deck turned *off* any other Steam users? 2 months ago:
Don’t use the same account for 2 different people. Create another and use Steam Family sharing to fix your issue.
although you still won’t “own” your games, but that’s the life of a PC gamer. Best you can do is buy from GOG or find/run shady cracked versions.
- Comment on Fortnite dev thinks bans on generated AI art will eventually become "unenforceable" 2 months ago:
They’re unfortunately not wrong. The generative stuff is only going to look better and better to a point where it would be very hard/impossible to tell.
- Comment on [Discussion] Using my Steam deck as a mini PC ? 6 months ago:
I use my steam deck docked primarily to stream from my main PC to my living room. I haven’t noticed any battery degradation when I do use it in handheld. I got it March 2022.
Also if you happen to be using Emby as a media server, the emby theater app image supports controller :)
- Comment on Final Fantasy XVI’s wobbly Steam Deck performance gets it a failing grade from Valve 9 months ago:
Unfortunate but not unexpected. We’re probably going to see this more the further we get from cross gen console games.

Retrodeck in your case then if you just want a simple setup.
- Comment on So how is the steamdeck output to TV in 1080p? 1 year ago:
I use mine docked fairly frequently. No major issues that I’ve had. Just note that if you change the games resolution to higher than the steam decks native screen, you’ll sacrifice framerate for it.
