  Only useful for desktop mode, but KDE Connect is great for syncing clipboards, sharing files, and even remote mouse and keyboard input between a smartphone and the desktop environment.

  It’s a game changer compared to using the touchscreen keyboard. Especially with a dock using it as an occasional media PC.

  Oh I definitely agree. I also should be able to play games on Steam that I have previously purchased on PS5 without paying for it again.

  But if the game devs are gonna push kernel level shit, they might as well have a console-like experience that exists independently of a user’s OS.

  Just put it on consoles where there is no expectation of ownership over the OS, where it’s expected to be an appliance.

  Shit like this has no place in PC gaming.

  I’d just buy a new one and return the old one with the new one’s receipt (and packaging, if necessary). Best Buy shouldn’t be profiting off of defective hardware.

  I’ve been meaning to do that with my drifty boi but with Walmart, I just barely ever touch the ps5 these days so it’s hard to work up the motivation
