- Comment on Indiana Jones doesn't "endorse" Nazis, Bethesda assure, just in case you were confused by him repeatedly murdering them 1 month ago:
But their while point was that they were super-smarties who made shit through communion with God directly, and the devices they made weren’t to be used
They’re an ancient Jewish group yes, but otherwise nothing at all like Hitler’s cabal bullshit and way closer to something like an ancient “secret cult”, made Jewish because it’s a series about the Nazis and them only winning due to Jewish technology (and also losing eventually because of it) is part of the catharsis of the whole thing
I read them a lot more like a group of ancient nerds. Which describes Jewish people pretty well if the friends ive had in the faith are anything to go by
I guess I kinda get your point but it feels so explicitly cathartic to make what IRL we credit to Nazis usually (in media their magic is usually them diving sadistically into what others won’t, for example) that I think it’s the opposite of tone deaf
- Comment on The Plucky Squire recently came out, and used the Steam Deck to represent PC 2 months ago:
No, and I explained multiple times why
Ok but you’re just factually wrong, a special version of games is not needed for the steam deck, it uses the PC version of the game

Can’t hold the power button on my PS to load into “desktop mode” and operate it exactly like my desktop PC though, like I can on steam deck
- Comment on The Plucky Squire recently came out, and used the Steam Deck to represent PC 2 months ago:
Games need to have different Spec Recommendations for PC and one specific optimized version for Steam Deck. Both are separated.
You’re just wrong here, they don’t need special versions at all, you’re normally just given windows .exe files and told to use proton to make the games work, even
This is good, actually, as it lets you change your settings in-game just like on normal PCs, so if you want more battery life you can turn them down, or if you’re plugged in you can turn them up
Your idea there is just bad and wrong, sorry
- Comment on Roku Issues a Mandatory Terms of Service Update That You Must Agree To or You Can't Use Your Roku | Cord Cutters News 9 months ago:
But that’s not the same thing as having an EULA for the entire device as a whole, including its local functions that don’t rely on a connection to Roku servers!
The EULA is for the OS, not the physical hardware. So all it takes is them updating the OS for “security reasons” and they can sneak a new EULA into the deal, locking you out of using that OS on new versions if that’s what they want to do. Unless you flash a new OS to your TV you’re stuck using their software and following the rules of that software.
And there’s really no way around that without really hurting legitimate software licensing situations other than maybe making it literally illegal to have devices ship with Auto-Updates enabled, forcing user consent to update anything, which sounds like a great way to piss off the general public.
Hmmm… Maybe legally all devices must be flashable easily without removing or modifying physical bits of the device? That way if an OS Update goes a way you don’t like then you can flash an old version or DIFFERENT OS entirely onto the device you own, regardless of if it’s a TV, phone, microwave, whatever

I was gonna reply sincerely but I can see form a closer inspection of your profile and random edits that you’re unhinged
Gonna mark you as such and proceed to laugh as you continue your little schizo moments, have fun out there and keep it entertainig for us!
- Comment on Title 1 year ago:
I don’t care either way, actually, as my consent isn’t required for them to remove it.
Hell, imma leave it up in the hopes more weirdos like you comment on other threads about it so I can have a lil chuckle

Oh no, I was slightly wrong about something because I generalized whats true of my part of the US (per my doctor), what ever will I do?
That comment could be removed for misinformation for all I care, this isn’t some gotcha
- Comment on Title 1 year ago:
An opinion that is just a factually wrong idea isn’t an opinion, it’s just a false belief that something is true
Actual untruths should be removed by mods, they only serve to trick the uninformed into believing false shit. Down votes mean very little, many times someone who’s 100% factually right gets down voted because the community just doesn’t like what was said

Saying Hamas are the good guys is an opinion, albeit a shitty one.
Saying gender studies aren’t studies is just factually wrong.
Pretty easy to see why one would be treated differently from the other even if most people won’t agree with the first

- Comment on Court rules Gabe Newell must appear in person to testify in Steam anti-trust lawsuit 1 year ago:
Legit, I’ve never heard of anti-competetive practices from Valve. Anti-consumer? Sometimes, yeah, though they do a lot more right than most
The argument seems to be that “30% cut is too high” but it’s not like there aren’t other options if you think that’s too high. Epic loves to pay for games to be exclusive there, humble and gog exist, one could even go the retro route and set up their own website (though that’s prolly the dumb idea), itch.io comes to mind…
If Valve HAS done some shady shit to ensure their major market share I’d be down to hear it, but to me as a PC gamer since '10ish (and had PC gamer friends since 06) it seems they got there through being a not complete garbage heap of a company that actually improved over the years on user feedback, which is supposed to be the good example of capitalism innit?
- Comment on [Discussion] New month, new games. What are you playing on your deck? - September 2023 1 year ago:
Finally got over my laziness and set Retro Arch up so both my PC and SD can play and sync easily
So I’ve been playing a bunch of old PS1 and GBA games for the last few weeks, Pokemon Emerald most recently
Having achievements in old games is addicting
