- Comment on Robot vacuum cleaners are being hacked to spy on your family, chase pets, hurl verbal abuse, and the makers claim users 'do not need to worry excessively about this' 2 months ago:
My Roomba only turns on when I press the button. Granted it can have wifi access but I work from home and never set that up. All it can do is translate error codes and I can Google those.
It’s my fourth Roomba in 20 years. Not bad as I’m someone who never vacuums otherwise.
- Comment on Steam Suffers Major DDoS Attack During Launch of “Black Myth: Wukong” 3 months ago:
Probably Epic. It’s one of the times Steam is at peak usage and sabotaging a big Steam launch would ‘work well’ for them.
Of course trying to sabotage and failing makes Steam look better, which is why Epic continues to flounder.

Or prohibited. Why would this ever be considered in political ads, seriously?

Antitrust? Pff.
How about crimes against humanity?

That’s more than a bit rude.
He’s saying he likes the people despite their government. He admires parts of their spirit and drive to remember their loved ones.
We can learn even from those we may consider our adversaries.

So they don’t give a fuck about security. Telcos print money and can afford it. Mandate they do so.

- Comment on I did it. I finally did it. After all these years, all the time I spent searching, I found the last known fully offline build for Graal classic. 8 months ago:
Looks like it was a multi-player Zelda-like with user made campaigns.
I can see why that would be a hell of a lot of fun.
- Comment on Hasbro exec says Baldur's Gate 3 "proved for us that people really wanted great D&D games," supports Larian's plan to "take the time we need" 8 months ago:
And it was used to great effect. There’s a ton of good stuff in the D&D mythos that can be made into other solid games.
Hasbro will fuck it up, I agree, but the potential is undoubtedly there.

That’s a good point, thanks for adding it.
- Comment on ‘Douglas Is Cancelled’ Stars and Its Creator on the Cancel Culture Series: “Pick Your Heroes With Care” 9 months ago:
Not a bad read. For those who only want to know why Trump is mentioned, they claim you cannot cancel someone with no shame.
Only someone capable of self-reflection and growth can be cancelled, because they step back from the limelight in order to reassess things.
I don’t know I agree as part of canceling is deplatforming, but it’s an interesting viewpoint.

This looks completely terrible.
- Comment on Inside Sony’s ‘Madame Web’ Collapse: Forget About a New Franchise 10 months ago:
I hear you but this one is another in a line of very misguided Sony movies, and the errors made in its production completely undermined both the plot and how it was going to tie into the failing multiverse.
In regards to DC movies, nobody is expecting them to be good for a while yet while they reboot everything. Then Marvel is flagging with several issues but Sony surprises everyone by releasing yet another non-Spiderman Spiderman movie.
Now on top of all that you’re right, sexism is playing into this too, especially from the toxic male fanboy culture, but to me this one was already on extremely shaky ground before it was released.
- Comment on Is the sixth sense worth watching now ? 10 months ago:
In my opinion, knowing both the premise and that there is a Twist is enough to give away the ending in this case.
I guessed it, saw it in the theater, and was right. Still a good movie though, maybe hasn’t aged perfectly but not badly.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 Has Been Completed by 1.3 Million Players, Shadowheart is Most Popular Love Interest 1 year ago:
My first playthrough I slept with the Emperor and then Wyll, and ended up with Wyll. I killed Karlach for Wyll.
Second one I was with Lae’zel but was a durge. I wanted to be with Karlach since I didn’t have her on my first playthrough but then I killed Isobel. That dooms Karlach.
So this time I’m aiming for Karlach. She’s so fun!

Well that’s hilarious.
My second run on my PS5 has been so terribly glitchy. And yes, it’s a Dark Urge run.
My response to being caught is to murder some more.
