  Eh, any game can pick up the good parts of the nemesis system and change it just enough to not be a 100% match of the patent and they’ll probably never be sued for it.

  In theory, yes. In practice, dealing with games is not so straightforward. Even the steam deck’s “suspend” is still far behind the Nintendo switch’s. In some games (older stuff, usually) the games don’t get paused at all, or it pauses the image but keeps the sound playing, or even sometimes appears to work properly, but then drains your battery just as fast as it you were playing - suggesting it is still processing the whole game in the dark.

  Are their printers bad? I haven’t even tried any in decades because their business practices are so awful, but I always thought that at the very least the printers themselves should be good.

  Sadly, Brother’s printers might be going on the same direction now.

  If the competition make some good portables, Valve will probably leave the hardware to them and focus only on the software.

  One day, out of the blue, I thought: “I should follow that guy who created Javascript”. A few weeks go by and soon I’m wondering “why the hell are there so many antivax posts on my timeline?”

  Was quite a surprise seeing that he was all in on the antivax stuff. I then unfollowed him and haven’t used any of his products since.

  I recently replaced windows by Bazzite and I’m really impressed by how smooth everything is. I’m even considering replacing my work distro with it as well, because I don’t remember ever having such a good experience with any other Linux distro before.

  Every now and then you run into games where you lose a ton of time trying to figure out a good controller mapping to play it properly, but in terms of working, most stuff do.

  Oh and the battery can drain out pretty fast too.

  Because it wasn’t a game, it was a gamified data collection app. If someone actually wanted to make a game with this concept, it could turn out well, but that was never Niantic’s intention.

  And you only play with 5 cards; Sometimes you’ll have three pairs or a spare ace in your hand that you might think gives you an edge, but if it’s not part of the 5 cards that make your best hand, it’s as if it doesn’t exist.

  I use it for work in the rare occasions I go to the office, but there are monitors available there so I don’t have to rely on the device’s screen.

  It works pretty well but I had to install a ton of development dependencies that tend to be standard in every Linux distro but are not there in the steam OS.

  Plus some coworkers have heard that I work on a PSP, coding with the joystick buttons and that is a nice rumor I like to keep alive.
