I think Trae Young is seen as a losing player that basically has a net negative impact on a team, at least at his current salary. The other players mentioned are seen as additions that will improve your chances of winning.

I’m with you on that but the price still seems steep to me. Last I heard Sony makes a profit selling the PS5 Pro($750) and the Steam Machine has worse specs (60cu vs 28cu GPU/ 2TB vs 500GB storage).
Personally I was considering getting a Steam Machine over upgrading my PC just to make my life easier. But, not for that much of a premium.

That seems like a niche within a niche to me. The Steam Deck filed a hole in the market, the Steam Machine doesn’t. Either way that doesn’t explain the high price, last I heard Sony makes a profit selling the PS5 Pro($750) and the Steam Machine has worse specs (60cu vs 28cu GPU/ 2TB vs 500GB storage). Like others have mentioned, the price might be reseller pricing vs buying directly from valve.

But why buy the Steam Machine over a PlayStation at that point? Your getting worse performance for twice the money. Isn’t the SM meant to convert console players, most current Steam users already have PCs. Or am I looking at this all wrong?

OKC, Minnesota, and Clevland are all small markets and all have done better constructing teams. Middleton should be a #3 option on a championship team, not a max guy. Like name a championship team with a worse #2 option?
Your right that attracting free agent is more difficult for small markets but, thats why all the teams I listed above built thier team through the draft. The Buck traded thier pick for underwhelming players and most of the picks they did draft arent even in the league anymore.
They got lucky with Giannas and he’s been carrying that franchise ever since, everything outside of that has been sub par.

I disagree with you here. The Bucks have consistently put a sub par team around Giannis for his entire career. Giannis had to put up one of the greatest nba finals performances of all time to win that one title.

It seems to just be a 7600m laptop GPU which comes with 8Gb. I don’t think this is a custom chip like SONY uses but, just off the shelf stuff AMD sold for a discount.

Forza Motorsport will do 4k60 on Series X for example. Most Racing and Sports games will do 4k60 on modern consoles since they’re easy to render.

I think the biggest thing would be getting a PC with decent specs for $500. Why would anybody buy a Dell desktop or the like ever again? Like even if you don’t game and need to do office work it’d probably be the best option.

A total of 22 games sold over a one million copies on the PSP. The number of PSPs sold is irrelevant, the number of games is what matters because most consoles are sold at cost or a loss. People bought the PSP because it was great at running homebrew games. Sony locked that down on the Vita and it sold way worse.
And then you provided a list of other failed attempts to get a piece of the Nintendo handheld market. Just because it was released doesn’t mean it was successful. If the PSP or any of these other handhelds where profitable they would of had successors sold today.

Have they though, other than Nintendo. If the PS Vita was making Sony so much money, why no successor? As far I know, the Steam Deck is the only successful non-Nintendo handheld ever.
