- Comment on Could we send electric data across time? 1 year ago:
No. The universal speed limit, the speed of light, is also the limit at which information or data can be transmitted.

like, what the hell is this?
- Comment on why am I told that I'm a child on the internet?? I'm 20!! 1 year ago:
I mean, twenty is just a couple of years short of still being a child, depending on definition. When people tell you that on the internet it’s usally not an actual guess of your age range, they’re just telling you that you’re acting childish.
- Comment on Doesn't each community being local to each instance split the audience? 1 year ago:
I’m currently following two other nostupidquestion communities, 3 asklemmy ones and about 5 news one. This happens because of federation.
- Comment on Doesn't each community being local to each instance split the audience? 1 year ago:
You are abbsolutly right, that’s one of the main problems I have with lemmy as well. I personally suggest a “multi-community” feature, like multi-reddits, so you can at least merge all the splintered communites again on the user end.

It’s because the show is based off of actual science and observed behaviors, not wishful thinkinging.
- Comment on Why would I want to use the multi-desktop functionality in Windows 11? 1 year ago:
Oh wow, windows is finally getting that feature? Nice. As a mac user this one of these “how the hell do you not have this” features that really baffled me.
I use them when I have to work on multiple projects at once (programming). Basically, I have a desktop per project with all the documents and programms open that I need for that project. It’s very convenient.

Yup, there seem to be several groups of slavik languages. From the Czech language wiki:
Czech […] is a West Slavic language of the Czech–Slovak group, written in Latin script. […] Czech is closely related to Slovak, to the point of high mutual intelligibility, as well as to Polish to a lesser degree
Also there is the Germanic languages. They youtube channel “RobWords” as a lot of interessting videos.
Two of them he talks about certain letter replacements that let’s you somewhat read German or French by just replacing certain letters that turns them into English words.
- Comment on A combination of languages to briefly cover the most of other languages. 1 year ago:
A whole bunch of slavik languages are very similar. I had an ex from Slovakia and she could reasonably communicate in Polish and Czech.
- Comment on Will there be power issues if I plug an unpowered USB hub into a powered on or vice versa 1 year ago:
Just plug the lower power device in the unpowered or powered hub from the first example. You’re just adding a hub for no reason.
- Comment on I want to talk in an American accent but how can I transition into it slowly for people who know me without them noticing a sudden change? 1 year ago:
There is not a slow enough change for that to unnoticed. People will notice.
Also … just why? Why American? There are so many nice accents to choose.

But jet engines will only leave contrails at ground level under very specifc conditions and are unlikley to be around for long.
I also think OP would be aware if their were any nearby military bases that operates F-35. That’s not something you can miss for long (the F-35 is loud as fuck).
Someone else suggested model rocket, which makes a lot more sense than a VOTL jet.

Can you post or link to the picture?
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
Yes I did but it’s irrelvant. Should the channel be removed? Sure.
But your conclusion that youtube must be “refusung” to delete these channels or is profiting of them is ridiculous. The much less dumb explaination is that it’s a simple moderation oversight, which can happen on a platform that gets over 3 million new video uploads a day …
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
The profit from this single 28k view videos surely must be massive! It’s clear that youtube is totally complicite and probably not because it’s some minor fringe issue that flies under the radar.
- Comment on Why people say good morning (or something like that) on chat after a night? 1 year ago:
I see chats as one continuous conversation
Well there is your answer.
If you would view them as individual conversation, then putting a greeting at the beginning makes perfect sense.
- Comment on How to get rid of blood stains from paper? 1 year ago:
So let them be weirded out. Just tell them it’s from a nose bleed, that’s not that uncommon. What’s the big deal?
Alternativly just copy the page and throw away the original.
- Comment on How to get rid of blood stains from paper? 1 year ago:
Why do you need to get them out?
Just add a disclaimer like “blood stain, do not lick!” or something. It’s something you throw away when it’s full anyway and it will almost be exusivly used by you. Why care?
- Comment on Is there any reason to not have built in scheduling on social media? 1 year ago:
Probably because 99% of users won’t need such a feature.

Ah yes, so much less horrifying …
