Then that’s something you can pay for.
Bluetooth 4 can go 200 ft line of sight. For most people that’s enough.

Bring your own SIM would be a perfectly reasonable answer if somebody could do it. IOT Sims are relatively cheap.
Honestly what I’d really like to see is it bind through Bluetooth to your cell phone. What your remote start from a couple hundred yards away it’s not nothing.

Neat, and also fuck DRM printer cartridges. Any company that treats their consumers that bad doesn’t deserve to be in business.

Android loves mice and keyboards. A lot of games now support gamepad pretty well too.
I’ve been gaming on my phone using parsec to remote steam and bring the controls back to my gamepad.
- Comment on Which shows do you think ended too soon, or went on too long? 8 months ago:
I can’t truly spoil it, they treated the whole series like a fever dream. We spent the whole think collecting hints and details while they barely stayed consistent within their own canon.
There was this one scene fairly early on I think in the second season They had to leave this control center room and as the blast shields were coming down to permanently seal the room there was a giant black light drawing of the island and all kinds of glorious details of relays and switches and control centers. We froze the frame and extracted it and poured over it for weeks. They really didn’t use any of it going forward.
I’m fairly certain they just made the story up as it went along trying to throw curve balls to anyone that would guess what was going to happen.
By the time it was done there was time travel, immortal beings and the afterlife all kind of just crammed together to make sure that no one could have seen exactly what was coming.

Heroes suffered from lostism. It was a great show until they completely explained it. We love making wild guesses and hate it when the truth is less exciting than what we were thinking it might be.

Tell me, did you miss OP’s actual post “This could be similar to a home inventory app where users only need to capture video and move around the house instead of taking pictures and labeling items. When do you think will there be an Android app for real-time visual inventory?”
Or are you just moving the goal posts to insult me?

Volumetric likeness would make it pretty easy too generate a report of likely false positives., 3D spacial pictures of each individual item detected. 3D special pictures of items not detected.
- Comment on [deleted] 11 months ago:
So, this is totally doable right now. The resolution and frame rates are there, AI being able to look at individual items on a screen and figure out what’s in the picture is already a mostly solved problem. It would probably make the most sense to turn the space into a 3D representation so you don’t accidentally double catch an item from a parallax error. It might not be able to tell the day TV is a frame versus a q LED, but it’ll be able to tell that it’s a 75-in TV and they can probably assign an average price to it.
The hard part is the horsepower required to do the AI work. It would need to be trained on pictures and sizes everything and of the things that are too complicated it would prompt you for what this item actually is. Lots of CPU, lots of GPU and would most likely need to head off to a beefy server farm where would need to spend a non-trivial amount of time sorting your stuff out.
Of course the real loser in all this is your insurance company. The less stuff you have on your inventory less stuff they pay out. To convince them too create the training data and host or pay for hosting the engines, There would have to be some clear advantage in it for them.
- Comment on How to get rid of blood stains from paper? 11 months ago:
Bleach removes it quickly is strong and you won’t need to get it as wet, but will remove all other color.
Peroxide is safer on other things, but will need to make it fairly damp if you don’t have some 30%
Alcohol will just turn it lighter brown.
I’d test a spot with bleach on a qtip, as little as possible.

I traveled through the Netherlands briefly. It’s one of the few places where I’ve ever felt uncomfortable with my English. I’m American, an English is my first language.
The homeless people in Amsterdam have better diction than I do.

I used to work with a guy that had that energy level, it quickly goes from endearing to exhausting.
He looked somewhat like Robin Williams and worked it for all he could hairdo voice imitations. The biggest problem we had is he was a total horndog. If a marginally attractive woman walked in, he wouldn’t leave them alone until they left.
