- Comment on What is the point of individually wrapping cheese slices in plastic, only to cover a bunch of them in more plastic? 11 months ago:
Oh, but it does actually taste better specifically on a burger.

It’s American cheese. The objectively superior cheese for melting on a burger.

I can see a company of 120 needing 5 more IT staff to effectively utilize Microsoft productivity infrastructure, but you would likely be able to either cut that employee count down to 100, or more positively, have the same 120 people handling the productivity of 150 employees, increasing your company’s output and profit.
More knowledge work is required to make effective use of the entire Microsoft stack, but in the enterprise, nothing comes close for multiplying user productivity.

The Bechdel test is a famous test of film to measure whether a movie represents women as more than just accessories for the male cast. Specifically, the test is passed if a film features two women who have a conversation about something other than a man. Surprisingly, a lot of films fail this test.
The Ulvaeus test is a fictional test in the same vein named after Bjorn Ulvaeus, a prominent member of the band ABBA. Presumably, thus test might be passed if a film contains a musical segment featuring the works of the band ABBA. This would be a clever pairing for this film, as ABBA has a song called Waterloo and the Napoleonic Wars ended with the Battle of Waterloo.

I’ve been playing “will I be able to get Genshin Impact running in Linux in a way that is comfortable for me?”
(AAGL runs i5, but I’ve only managed to get it full-screen or 1920x1080 in a borderless window pinned in the center of my screen. I’d like to drag that 1920x1080 window down close to the lower-right corner, but can’t figure out how to move it or get it running with normal draggablr window borders). Arch+xorg+kde+nvidia. Couldn’t get it to install either Lutris and haven’t tried other launchers.
- Comment on US kids want games subscriptions and virtual currency more than games this Christmas 11 months ago:
As long as FFXIV exists, I can understand the desire for a game subscription over literally every other paid game.
- Comment on I feel like I need a separate body towel (big towel), and 3 other small towels for hair, face, and hands. 4 towels in total. Is that normal? 11 months ago:
When I shower, my hands get dry with the rest of my body using the body towel. My hand towel is a separate smaller towel by my sink that I use after eliminating waste and subsequently washing my hands.
I don’t go as extreme as OP. I have 3 towel types: large body towel that I use to dry my entire face/hair/hands/body after bathing. Smaller hand towel by the sink for drying hands/face after using the sink. And finally a separate medium-sized hair towel to wrap my long hair for further drying after I’ve already got most of the water off with my body towel. I’ll wear that towel for 5-10 minutes after bathing. That towel isn’t necessary for short hair.
