Wouldn’t be surprised if Apple end up running a switch to Mac mini campaign.

I would talk to my boss about that but that would be me.

Excuse the waffle - I run windows, Linux and Mac boxes. The software I use for work will only run on windows and Mac, does not work well with any Linux virt windows app (though people are constantly trying). Windows is fine, I don’t particularly care for osx. I simply don’t like Microsoft attitude to me a user of their product. Constantly asking if I want to enable their bullshit on the installer for system updates, win 11 nag screens, moving the email client to their web version where you have to agree to store your own mail accounts on their server, and this recall thing which I assume is to feed their ai.
OSX allows me to disable most things. I’m sure it will get shittier as well, but for the moment it works as well as my current pc. I do like apple hardware, not a fan of iOS.

When my PC loses support I’ll be on the Mac mini train. Would convert the box to Linux but my work apps aren’t supported sadface.

- Comment on ‘The Bear’ Season 3 Will Premiere June 2024 10 months ago:
I kind of feel the character is the kitchen and mostly the actors there are stand-ins to demonstrate the pressures of the kitchen environment. Just my 2c, but as mentioned maybe one more season to see the bear off.

It should be called Bland of Brothers.

It’s unlikely to have a satisfactory ending, but enjoying the ride.
- Comment on Which James Bond movie do you consider the worst? 10 months ago:
To me watching them in sequence Die Another Day felt like a callback to the earlier Roger Moore (or even some Connery) Bond Movies. Tonally it was quite a shift from the previous couple of movies.

I guess the fight scene looked good on paper, but it was quite long and not very dramatic.
- Comment on Which James Bond movie do you consider the worst? 10 months ago:
I had never watched them until now., the first was more standard bond template but with a serious bond.

I watched them all up to Spectre and would put View to a Kill at the bottom followed by Quantum of Solace.

- Comment on [Discussion] Do you have franchise fatigue? Or is there still a franchise that you enjoy seeing? 10 months ago:
Almost finished watching all 20-odd James Bond movies and would watch another one. Other than that no.

To be honest not familiar with the books but the tv series became a boring slog.
I would have been content with a series that was Henry Cavill:Monster Hunter with a bit of epic story happening in the background as I found the standalones pretty good.

Enjoyed season one - good setup and story.
- Comment on Are Blu-Rays the new vinyl? Physical Media will be different – but better – in 2024 11 months ago:
Why not? Streaming isn’t for collections and with digital media purchases just being licenced long term rentals (see recent Sony fiasco) there’s def a small but viable market.
