And that’s the govs real goal achieved. They didn’t care about the children.

What would you say would enable you to get your money’s worth? I just had a feeling the game wouldn’t live up to the hype and felt pretty smug when it flopped. Then years later I grabbed it for cheap because I was bored and there had been a free update. I have put over 100 hours into it.
My only complaint is something feels off about the shooting, but the stuff they have been adding has been great and gives more things to do outside of just base building.
- Comment on Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 4 announced, delivers Ork screamy RTSness next year 3 weeks ago:
How strange that I saw a picture posted for Iron Harvest and now I find out that same studio is making DoW4. Iron Harvest had so much potential but the studio kind of abandoned it. It felt a bit clunky in ways, I’m hoping the experience they got from Iron Harvest will enable them to do well and we don’t end up with another DoW3.

I wonder if it’s a legacy thing, I have never enabled it and I see them on my store page all the time.

I wish people would all collectively agree that employers should have to pay for commute time to their offices. I would like to think this would quickly bolster WFH.
- Comment on Slay the Spire 2 gets a first trailer - coming to Early Access in 2025 8 months ago:
I cannot wait for this, the Slay the Spire claimed so many hours of my life on PC when it released… and then again on mobile! I can only imagine the inclusion of additional animation will add more value. I also hope they take some inspiration from the Downfall mod as that was an absolutely solid addition.

Seeing Stardew Valley behind QWOP, I suspect the list is in no particular order. Who could put such an outstanding game truly made with love that low in a list of top games of all time.
- Comment on City-building on a massive creature, The Wandering Village - Research & Economy update is live 9 months ago:
No way has it been in Early Access for 2 years?! I picked this game up when I first released but stopped playing it pretty quickly as it felt shallow compared to what was already out there. Maybe I need to give it a go with this update.
- Comment on StarCraft 2 production director pitched WarCraft 4 and a Call Of Duty RTS before leaving Blizzard, claims report 11 months ago:
Dawn of War 3 was absolutely ruined by them trying to make it an eSports. I find most RTS doesn’t give that same feel we got when WC3 first came out or later on when Company of Heroes was released. They were solid games that brought something new to the genre.

That’s nice. Maybe one day they’ll make a Dawn of War III.
- Comment on What are you playing this week? June 17 2024 Edition 1 year ago:
Trying to get things lined up for the Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV next week. When first announced I wasn’t very excited, but as it gets closer I’m looking forward to it more and more.

- Comment on Founder of Baldur's Gate 3 developer blasts publisher greed 1 year ago:
It’s nice to not be on the hype train for every major game release, because ultimately they will have the same shitfuckery shoed in, likely because of publishers. BG3 was a genuinely fun game and I’m glad Larian has done so well. You can really see a difference in games when it’s made from passion rather than the drive to make as much money as possible.
