- Comment on Zack Snyder says we're getting six hours of Rebel Moon director's cuts on the same day on Netflix 8 months ago:
Correction: 3 hours of director’s cuts.
'Cuz if I do watch it, I’ll pop it into VLC and watch on 2x speed at a minimum, just like I did for the original cut.
- Comment on Opinion | How Bad Can It Get for Hollywood? 8 months ago:
Only five of the legacy movie companies still operate as traditional studios and one of those, Paramount, is up for sale.
Oh, noooooo. I wonder what A24 is up to? Oh yeah, putting out movies that compete with the big 5’s while also working with the union to where they didn’t have to shut down last year. Funny how that works.
- Comment on Paramount+ Orders New ‘NCIS’ Spin-Off Starring Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly 8 months ago:
Wikipedia tells me four spin-offs, plus this new one, plus another about young Gibbs. Jeebus, that’s a lot of money.
I like to watch old syndicated shows when I can’t sleep. NCIS isn’t old enough yet, but someday I am going to have a solid decade of snooze fodder.
- Comment on Paramount+ Orders New ‘NCIS’ Spin-Off Starring Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly 8 months ago:
Whaaaaaat, OG NCIS is still on TV. I can only assume because thirsty old widows like my grandma (RIP) have a thing for Mark Harmon.
- Comment on Shane Gillis Returns To SNL, Corporate Press Pans Performance 8 months ago:
I don’t have any material that can be on TV
Then why accept an SNL hosting role? Stick to specials and TikTok and podcasts. SNL is the most vanilla option available, don’t go there if you’re choco chip, or god help you, moose tracks.
- Comment on ‘Harry Potter’ TV Series Aiming for 2026 Debut as David Zaslav Touts J.K. Rowling’s Involvement 8 months ago:
And of course there’s Rowling, who has routinely courted controversy due to her inflammatory comments about the trans community. The fact that Zaslav would double-down on her involvement is an interesting development.
I’ll say. What’s the benefit? Quietly don’t include her, no public statements about her TERF positions to court controversy, minimal impact. Do include her and automatically lose a subset of fans.
- Comment on Which shows do you think ended too soon, or went on too long? 8 months ago:
100% agree on Westworld and I would extend that to the movies and the books too.
Yul Brynner in Westworld? Excellent. Yul Brynner in Futureworld? The world has gained nothing by its existence.
- Comment on Which shows do you think ended too soon, or went on too long? 8 months ago:
A “too soon” not listed yet, Our Flag Means Death. I really wish they’d had a chance to close out with the planned third season.
