  I’ll keep telling this story as long as it remains relevant:

  A few years back, I picked up AC: Black Flag in a steam sale but never got around to playing it. Well, recently I’ve been trying to clear my backlog so I decided to install it and give it a play through, because honestly the game seems like it would be right up my alley.

  Unfortunately, if you have not played the game on Steam before, there was an update at some point that makes the game unplayable. And I don’t mean it’s lagging, or there are graphical issues, I mean the game won’t fucking launch. It will ask you to log into your Ubisoft account, and then once you do, nothing happens. If you launch the game again… It will ask you to log in to your Ubisoft account. Apparently this is a known issue with no fix. If you’ve previously played the game on the PC you’re using, it will remember some settings and launch. But if it’s your first time? You are SOL.

  Remember, the opinions you read online on places like Lemmy do not match the opinions of the general public. This doesn’t just apply to games; on pretty much every topic Lemmy proves time, and time again, that people here don’t have the first god damn clue how the average person thinks.

  It’s one of the things that turned me off from Elden Ring. The text is just so damn small. It’s not a problem on a monitor, but trying to play on a TV while relaxing on the couch? Constant squinting.

  Scavengers Reign for best animated. Best anything? Honestly, I really liked Twisted Metal. I know that’s probably not going to be everyone’s top pick, but I had a ton of fun watching it. The Last of Us was also really good.

  I watched it because I saw it was getting crazy good ratings.

  It was alright. Decent show, but not the 9.3/10 groundbreaking masterpiece people were claiming it was. I’d watch a second season, but I’m right there with you. It’s far from the best thing I saw last year.
