- Comment on A day after launch, Starsand Island's devs address those user agreement, modding, and fake review concerns 1 week ago:
Saw that game yesterday, one of the few games like this that actually caught my eye. Really glad to see the news about it isn’t too bad!
- Comment on The great RAMaggedon of 2026 might have just claimed the Steam Deck 1 week ago:
Idk, most companies that aren’t Microsoft would probably prefer a better platform than Windows to be chained to.

Already working on getting my friends to switch to telegram. Anyone got any better alternatives?
- Comment on Edmund McMillen on assembling Mewgenics' meow cameo list: "the inclusion of people with clashing ideologies felt appropriate" 1 week ago:
I mean, duh. McMillan is a 12 year old pretending to be an adult, if course he isn’t going to have real morals.

Honestly, seeing a company sell out to fortnite only makes me less interested

All the games are releasing now, sucks that my pc needed work this week.
- Comment on Yes, Paradox are aware that a “barrage of DLCs” can scare away new players, for all their bundles and discounts 3 weeks ago:
They don’t though? Okay, i haven’t played any of their new stuff (my poison was Stellaris), but the base games have always been decent to play. Their dlc has been getting worse, Stellaris race packs just should not be a thing, but it’s not as bad as some people make it out to be.

- Comment on Ubisoft propose cutting up to 200 jobs at Paris headquarters, as unions reportedly agree three day strike 3 weeks ago:
The reason Ubisoft is failing miserably is because the executive are incompetent. If they cared about profit they’d fire everyone above, like, game director and start again.
- Comment on [Eurogamer] TR-49 review 4 weeks ago:
Sounds like Hate Plus but with less anime and weirder tech.

I suppose being addicted to developing terraria is healthier than some other addictions
- Comment on The Elder Scrolls 6 in the Summerset Isles would be cool, or so recently unearthed Daggerfall-era dev D&D notes have convinced me 5 weeks ago:
Well time for a reality check: no one who made or cared about the elder scrolls still works at Bethesda. Cyrodill wasn’t supposed to be a generic European fantasy bore, but it was and Bethesda has only gotten worse since oblivion. By azura, I’m pretty sure no one left (in a management position at least) even cares about the fundamentals of writing and world building.
- Comment on Fallout: London hasn't developed into a Fallout 4-esque hub of new quest and expansion mods so far, and its lead has theories why 5 weeks ago:
I can’t let this misinformation slide; fallout 3 is the worst game in the franchise bar none.
- Comment on Hytale has arrived in Early Access with Linux support 5 weeks ago:
Right now it feels like a direct upgrade to Minecraft. The only thing that’s really missing is an analogue to the villagers, but we know that’s coming. Other than that, the gameplay is better (better movement and combat) and the variety is better (more mobs in general, more blocks, more biomes), and it all feels more cohesive than even base Minecraft. I just can’t wait for something akin to Create, with moving and spinning blocks.
It’s definitely worth the into price as is, but if they continue the good work then it’ll be worth that big supporter tier as well.

- Comment on Starfield To Reportedly Have An Overhaul Update Coming 2 months ago:
Maybe one day it’ll be an almost half-decent base for mods to make playable. Still wouldn’t but it, but it’d be a neat turn around.

- Comment on Hytale gets a cheap price point, all because its devs don't think the game is good yet 2 months ago:
Player base doesn’t determine what’s better, the most popular things are often the worst
- Comment on Hytale gets a cheap price point, all because its devs don't think the game is good yet 2 months ago:
Better Minecraft. Which you’d think would be incredibly easy to do, but the project has already basically failed before. My guess from all I’ve seen over the years is this is a real personal project for the dev rather than something that was ever actually intended to be released and getting a release is just a cool bonus for them.
- Comment on Zork I, Zork II and Zork III are now officially open source 2 months ago:
The rise of the Internet guide really ruined video games. MMOs especially are basically unplayable with how people interact with them.
- Comment on Hytale has been saved as Hypixel acquired it from Riot Games 2 months ago:
Genuinely surprised hytale might actually be a thing. I wrote it off years ago as a failed project (at best), seeing this at least implies the dev is doing something.
