- Comment on Fortnite boss hopes to take on Roblox's massive everythingverse with a "very different" massive everythingverse, as Epic unveil genAI-infused Unreal Engine 6 5 days ago:
It’s wild how Tim Epic manages to be the worst person on literally every single thing.

Looks like a game we’ll have to pirate, unless they ever release it in the pc for real.

- Comment on Subnautica 2's no-killing ethos "will be a continued point of resistance" among players, say Unknown Worlds, but they have no plans to change it 5 weeks ago:
That title kinda gives the wrong impression, i think. The co-founder adopted that position almost as reactionary dogma without thinking it through and it did hurt the game, at least in small ways. The new lead seems to be adopting an actual philosophy for the franchise that can be felt through every aspect. The story of s2 is already incorporating the new mutualistic ideology they want the franchise to have and the lead has already said they plan on touching on why more violence (you already do some by eating) is out of your reach despite being an incredibly important tool.
- Comment on Please Rockstar and Take-Two, push GTA 6's price up to $80 for the good of "the entire industry", Bank of America beg 1 month ago:
Capital C capitalists are the dumbest motherfuckers out there. The price of creating a game is going down, the ceiling is just rising and developers are chasing that ceiling. The market has also grown exponentially, they don’t need to raise prices to get the same profit. Games are already very expensive and the economy is only going to get worse, raising the price will ensure only exceptional games make a profit (or games that don’t follow the stupid increase). Not to mention new forms of piracy means they’re competing against a price point of $0.
- Comment on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2's gun toting, bird flipping, violent sheriff featuring DLC gets a release date 1 month ago:
I’m convinced they expect the Hunter game to fail too. paradox hates the WoD franchise and seems to be trying to undermine it at every possible chance. From the gutting of the books to giving the IP out primarily to unproven studios with no RPG experience, someone at paradox wants the IP to die.

Well that just killed most of my interest. The pvpve thievery was a unique selling point that would have gotten me into even a kinda mediocre game, now they’ll need to provide diamonds if they want my attention.

No, you trust whoever you got it from. Either to not tamper with the game, or ensure it wasn’t malware to begin with

Here’s hoping this ushers in a new golden age, a time of fansubbers and pirates.
- Comment on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 translator claims Warhorse have laid him off in preference of using AI going forward 2 months ago:
A clanker won’t understand the nuances that make a script readable, maybe it’ll be able to handle an extremely basic conversation better then a simple direct machine translation, but any abstract language is going to be butchered.

Okay, i can understand differences in general attitudes and preferences between regions, but how does Pokemon za get higher than e33? Za is insultingly bad even by Pokemon ridiculously low standards.
