Yeah, we don’t have laundromats in my country except for student housing and similar facilities. Laundry machines are ubiquitous in houses and apartments, even the small crappy ones.

I think they mean weird, not wired

Isn’t Daggerfall procedurally generated?

Let it die, let it die, let it shrivel up and die!

My country never let tipping culture cross over from America, and we never have to worry about that tipping stuff Americans complain about. When cheap credit card machines were still new, a bunch of businesses used American systems that asked for tips and employees and customers alike completely ignored that screen.

I only read the headline but if this is Bobby Kotick, he’s just an all around piece of shit. He created a work environment so misogynist that multiple former employees described it as being like a frat, and a woman had her breast milk stolen from the employee fridge while the company did nothing.
- Comment on China has flooded the market with so many solar panels that people are using them as garden fencing 6 months ago:
Maybe America would be happier if the rest of us transitioned to communism. That way America would have all the money and all the profits in the world, and all we’d have is free food, free housing, free healthcare, free utilities, and a society where people can pursue their passions without fear of homelessness or bankruptcy.
- Comment on China has flooded the market with so many solar panels that people are using them as garden fencing 6 months ago:
China has been subsidizing their solar industry with massive amounts of government money for over a decade to dominate market share and keep others out.
And if the US weren’t losers, they would have subsidized the solar industry too. They made a greedy, selfish, lazy decision not to make an important investment, and now they’re paying the consequences. Maybe the US should pull themselves up by the bootstraps instead of complaining about it.
- Comment on CD Projekt Red still 'don't see a place for microtransactions' in singleplayer games 7 months ago:
I think it’s a shame that they improved the game. CDPR claims to have satirised the objectification of trans bodies for profit, but the way they’ve done so is by objectifying trans bodies for profit. It’s not actually a satire or critique, it’s a trope played straight, and that’s harmful. One of the winners of their cosplay contest was a cis woman who shoved a glowing neon dildo down her pants, and they posted her cosplay on twitter to congratulate her. I liked the fact that the game responsible for these controversies was bad. I want people to have negative feelings associated with a game that does this, and a negative image of a company that does this.

So how long’s it gonna take them to break this promise too?

The benefit is that it’s not situated inside your chrome user interface, with the toolbar and the tabs, so there’s more screen real estate. Also most people don’t know how to make desktop/startmenu shortcuts to web addresses.
