I thought it was just a sound alike, but no. It’s fucking Matt Berry
- Comment on I'm not saying Fallout 4 modding drama gets to people, but here's Breaking Benjamin's singer begging concertgoers to try his AI-assisted first person mod 4 days ago:
That’s kind of neat, but I’ve seen that mod by like, 8 different people before the advent of AI. Why reinvent the wheel using the very thing that limits his fan base from playing the game to begin with?
- Comment on Valheim 1.0 Launches After 5 Years in Early Access 4 days ago:
While normally I’m all for modding, I genuinely suggest playing without them, at least for your first boss run. After that, I’m quite partial to the diablo style loot mods

Fallout 4 already has first person though, what exactly did he mod?
- Comment on Valheim 1.0 Launches After 5 Years in Early Access 5 days ago:
I’d gladly join! Hell, I’ll feed the whole server even!
- Comment on Valheim 1.0 Launches After 5 Years in Early Access 5 days ago:
Would absolutely suggest trying it. I’ve bought 2 early access games in my life and both of them are valheim. It’s practically a vacation home for me.
- Comment on This is basically me whenever people ask if I play videogames 6 days ago:
I have a deep love for open world survival games with crafting mechanics and settlement building. I’d love it even more of they had established NPC communities that you could engage in.
I genuinely wish I could live in a little self sustaining farm on the edge of a city and periodically go to market to sell the spoils of my dungeoneering and pick up new bounties.
Or be part of a community where I periodically barter different things to do whatever menial tasks the community needs done. Weed your yard for two jars of honey. Trade one to the neighbor for vegetables and turn the other into mead for next season. Help another repair their roof because I know they’ll help me out when I need to fix the siding come fall.
Most of my games are just a chance to better engage in something I wish I could be doing in life.
- Comment on Stranger Than Heaven will explore Tupac's "potential future" if "he was still alive now", according to RGG studio head 2 months ago:
Also we can look at his contemporaries to see what will happen. Eventually his music will become mainstream as the youth that were accepting of it aged into adulthood and societal values shifted forward. He’d make a decent amount of money, likely start his own record label, potentially act in a few movies or make cameo appearances. He’ll probably have had kids, gone through a soft phase where he realizes he can’t share his work with them, potentially be a regular character in children’s media to compensate or release an album that’s far outside his niche that fans will dislike but will be well received by the wider audience.
By now he’ll be 55 and while he’ll have done a sizeable amount of effort to curate his PR it will be shown that he regularly endorses Republican candidates because the benefits they offer to his current lifestyle trump the negatives they deliver to everyone currently experiencing the problems that made his music resonate.
I literally can’t think of any counter culture creator that survived and didn’t go down this pipeline.

Any word on price yet?
- Comment on Deus Ex, Saints Row and TimeSplitters might be lent out to external partners, Embracer say, possibly paving the way for new entries 3 months ago:
I’m unfortunately not excited to see timesplitters here. Though it is my favorite game, I don’t think it could be made today. Too much of it could be used for microtransactions, the spirit and creativity are lost among modern developers so it would either be a “hey millennials remember this?” Or a fortnite style “hey fellow kids look at this topical and popular media of which I have partnered. Skibity.” Finally the humor just isn’t there. The original cameout of a love for golden eye and a long lasting friendship, any in jokes, references, or risqué humor is going to be glassed from orbit by a board of directors in the name of optimal marketability.
If you want more timesplitters like I do, go donate to Timesplitters Rewind. At least they’re doing it for the love of the game instead of the money.
- Comment on "Everyone would hate you": Stardew Valley creator is "open" to adding adultery and NPC divorces, but he's against it "on a moral level" 3 months ago:
Nah, Pierre punch out all the way. I dislike Pierre almost as much as I dislike Morris, but he deserves to deliver the blow.
- Comment on "Everyone would hate you": Stardew Valley creator is "open" to adding adultery and NPC divorces, but he's against it "on a moral level" 3 months ago:
I’d rather have a redemption arc for Morris, guy is hardcore for joja and I really feel like he’s the kind of person who doesn’t know himself so he latches to a brand for identity. If he was instead brought into the town and made a member of the community maybe he’d turn out to be a cool guy.
- Comment on Grow Home and Grow Up from Atari added to the GOG Preservation Program 3 months ago:
Right after the ps4 came out my buddy brought his over to my house to show it off. Grow home was one of like 3 games he had on it. I only got to play it for like 20min, but I absolutely loved it.
- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 5 months ago:
I tried so hard to like Lutris, but I’ve never managed to get it to work in any way. It actually lead me to dual booting win10 just to play some games before steam really doubled down on running things
- Comment on "We can't just continue making the map bigger and bigger": Why Bethesda want to expand Fallout 76 inwards, not just outwards 7 months ago:
I thought you still needed to pay a subscription for server access?
- Comment on Arc Raider devs want future Expeditions to be less about fat stacks and FOMO 7 months ago:
That’s really easy. Deep Rock Galactic has seasonal rewards but if you miss out all the cosmetics get moved into the already existing mechanics for getting them. It’s easier to play the season and unlock everything, but if I don’t want to I can just keep an eye out for containers and helmets later. Ta-da! No FOMO, no required grind, just rock and stone.
- Comment on Fallout: London hasn't developed into a Fallout 4-esque hub of new quest and expansion mods so far, and its lead has theories why 7 months ago:
I’d love to play it, but it’s been pain enough getting fo4 running on Linux and no one had a serious guide on doing London when I tried.
- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy is free for PC gamers on the Epic Games Store 8 months ago:
Free isn’t cheap enough to support her bullshit.
- Comment on Don't expect a SteamOS phone after the Steam Machine, Valve engineer says 9 months ago:
Yeah but there’s like 12 other companies that could provide that before Valve and I don’t think valve has ever suggested that it’s a thing they’re planning on. It feels like saying, “McDonald’s isn’t planning to add barbique steaks to their menu after bringing back the McRib.”
- Comment on Don't expect a SteamOS phone after the Steam Machine, Valve engineer says 9 months ago:
Ok, but who expected that to begin with? Who needed to be told this?
- Comment on Fight the nazis to rescue your dog in the new free shooter Darkenstein 3D out now 10 months ago:
I’d like a modded version named Borkenstein 3D where you play as the dog and kill Nazis to save your human.

In right here with you. I like my cards in hand and I’m not going to stare at a screen to play something I should be able to play at the table.
- Comment on Oblivion Remastered gets Fallout 4-style building from modder who wants to collaborate on a full settlement system 1 year ago:

It’s a thankless job, but someone has to make the next unibomber.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 release date now set for September 12, plus a new trailer and deep dive are out 1 year ago:
That I don’t mind. The only difference between my D&D campaign and a Disney game is the players ability to stab the king.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 release date now set for September 12, plus a new trailer and deep dive are out 1 year ago:
Honestly I really love the idea of wonderlands, more dragon’s keep is like alchemical gold, but it’s so slow in a way that just doesn’t feel like borderlands. Even 3 has better pacing.
