- Comment on "Everyone would hate you": Stardew Valley creator is "open" to adding adultery and NPC divorces, but he's against it "on a moral level" 3 days ago:
Nah, Pierre punch out all the way. I dislike Pierre almost as much as I dislike Morris, but he deserves to deliver the blow.
- Comment on "Everyone would hate you": Stardew Valley creator is "open" to adding adultery and NPC divorces, but he's against it "on a moral level" 4 days ago:
I’d rather have a redemption arc for Morris, guy is hardcore for joja and I really feel like he’s the kind of person who doesn’t know himself so he latches to a brand for identity. If he was instead brought into the town and made a member of the community maybe he’d turn out to be a cool guy.
- Comment on Grow Home and Grow Up from Atari added to the GOG Preservation Program 4 days ago:
Right after the ps4 came out my buddy brought his over to my house to show it off. Grow home was one of like 3 games he had on it. I only got to play it for like 20min, but I absolutely loved it.
- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 2 months ago:
I tried so hard to like Lutris, but I’ve never managed to get it to work in any way. It actually lead me to dual booting win10 just to play some games before steam really doubled down on running things
- Comment on "We can't just continue making the map bigger and bigger": Why Bethesda want to expand Fallout 76 inwards, not just outwards 3 months ago:
I thought you still needed to pay a subscription for server access?
- Comment on Arc Raider devs want future Expeditions to be less about fat stacks and FOMO 3 months ago:
That’s really easy. Deep Rock Galactic has seasonal rewards but if you miss out all the cosmetics get moved into the already existing mechanics for getting them. It’s easier to play the season and unlock everything, but if I don’t want to I can just keep an eye out for containers and helmets later. Ta-da! No FOMO, no required grind, just rock and stone.
- Comment on Fallout: London hasn't developed into a Fallout 4-esque hub of new quest and expansion mods so far, and its lead has theories why 3 months ago:
I’d love to play it, but it’s been pain enough getting fo4 running on Linux and no one had a serious guide on doing London when I tried.
- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy is free for PC gamers on the Epic Games Store 5 months ago:
Free isn’t cheap enough to support her bullshit.
- Comment on Don't expect a SteamOS phone after the Steam Machine, Valve engineer says 5 months ago:
Yeah but there’s like 12 other companies that could provide that before Valve and I don’t think valve has ever suggested that it’s a thing they’re planning on. It feels like saying, “McDonald’s isn’t planning to add barbique steaks to their menu after bringing back the McRib.”
- Comment on Don't expect a SteamOS phone after the Steam Machine, Valve engineer says 5 months ago:
Ok, but who expected that to begin with? Who needed to be told this?
- Comment on Fight the nazis to rescue your dog in the new free shooter Darkenstein 3D out now 6 months ago:
I’d like a modded version named Borkenstein 3D where you play as the dog and kill Nazis to save your human.

So like roblox in a Minecraft skin without the pedophiles?
- Comment on Luanti (formerly Minetest) v5.14 brings an improved minimap, particle improvements and UI tweaks 7 months ago:
Can anyone give me a side by side for why I should move to this instead of Java Minecraft?
- Comment on Megabonk is a mega success selling 1 million in 2 weeks, after being repeatedly told to delay it 7 months ago:
I really just need to look this game up because every image I’ve seen for it here looks like a totally different game.

In right here with you. I like my cards in hand and I’m not going to stare at a screen to play something I should be able to play at the table.
- Comment on Oblivion Remastered gets Fallout 4-style building from modder who wants to collaborate on a full settlement system 10 months ago:
Honestly, that’s got me more interested in it than anything else. That’s new content that I can’t get in my of copy of oblivion.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 release date now set for September 12, plus a new trailer and deep dive are out 1 year ago:
It’s a thankless job, but someone has to make the next unibomber.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 release date now set for September 12, plus a new trailer and deep dive are out 1 year ago:
That I don’t mind. The only difference between my D&D campaign and a Disney game is the players ability to stab the king.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 release date now set for September 12, plus a new trailer and deep dive are out 1 year ago:
Honestly I really love the idea of wonderlands, more dragon’s keep is like alchemical gold, but it’s so slow in a way that just doesn’t feel like borderlands. Even 3 has better pacing.
- Comment on Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion's level scaling was a "mistake", says designer, so why is it in the remaster? 1 year ago:
I’m aware they do patches, that doesn’t change the fact that after 14 years of them actively releasing and supporting it, there are still a bethesda level of bugs to it. At this point there’s no reason the community patch should be a mandatory install. They don’t fix it, they don’t add to it, they just port the patches over with it and charge $10 more than the last.
- Comment on Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion's level scaling was a "mistake", says designer, so why is it in the remaster? 1 year ago:
so why is it in the remaster?
Because Bethesda doesn’t care how shit their games are. Every skyrim release has come packaged with the same bugs and errors that the original 360 disk has when they first released it, all they do is step up the graphics for nicer TVs. If they were a company that cared about their product, they’d fix the problems at the root for each re-release or add more to the game. Imagine how many more hours we’d all get to look at the gorgeous textures if they put fo4’s crafting management into it after they “rebuilt the game from the ground up to test our new engine” imagine how much more quest you could have if they added 15min more story every time they made a new release.
We could’ve had gold and instead we get dragon shit.
- Comment on Morrowind game engine OpenMW gearing up for a huge new 0.49 release 1 year ago:
While I appreciate the loophole in the EULA, I feel my stance is on something different. This is like fan art of Micky mouse. Disney doesn’t lose any money from me drawing micky, and I’m allowed to post it online. It only becomes a problem if i try to sell my art. Openmw isn’t making money off this and Bethesda wasn’t going to do it, so why should it matter if this is being done by ai or by a really skilled impersonator?
- Comment on Morrowind game engine OpenMW gearing up for a huge new 0.49 release 1 year ago:
I feel like this is the kind if fringe example where ai is fine. This game is old enough to smoke, it’s original actors aren’t coming back to it, and no one of profiting off an open source moded engine to make the game run.
This is what ai should be doing.

- Comment on What are your thoughts on Warframe? 1 year ago:
I’d honestly still be playing strictly warframe if I wasn’t the last player standing in my clan. It’s just not the same without the banter.
- Comment on What are your thoughts on Warframe? 1 year ago:
I have over 2000 hours in it, in that time I’ve spent $100 on ingame currency. I an honestly say it’s one of the best games I’ve every played, or technically 6 of the best games I’ve every played because Digital Extremes has this habit of making a whole new game and just building it into Warframe. They’ve got skateboards, spaceflight, mech fights, small game hunting, fishing, horse races, and street fighter. You can decorate your house and your giant clan hall, you can customize your gear for peek fashion, you can customize the little spaceship you fly in loading screens.
Easily the best thing in the game is that the paid for currency is tradeable. You can trade valuable in-game assets to oust players in an open market for it, effectively meaning that if you can’t or don’t want to spend money, you can still get the cool cosmetics through grind. Moreso, while you can buy most things with money, the only things you need the money for is cosmetics, everything else is pretty easy to earn in-game and it isn’t until you get to the late-game content that it becomes a little grindy.
Lastly, it’s co-op. You don’t play against other players, so you never run into those feel bad moments where some whale or an ancient like me cleans house, instead we’re more likely to pick up new players and Sherpa you through later content to get frames or gear. The community is just super nice.

By “we” do you mean you’re part of the team? If so, tell everyone some random guy in Kansas thinks you’re the greatest OS team out there!
- Comment on Bazzite Linux gets keyboard-less installation (good for handhelds) and smaller updates 1 year ago:
I’m running it as my default pc, I know it’s advertised for hand held but of you’re fond of Ubuntu and fedora, this is just a cleaner version of those.
- Comment on Final Fantasy Tactics remaster reportedly “real and happening”, giving hope for one of the series’ finest to finally come to PC 1 year ago:
I just found out about that one, now I’m gonna have to give it a try.
