- Comment on [help] Getting my first steam deck tomorrow 2 weeks ago:
Never used Nixpkgs, but isn’t it a bit more advanced and not really for beginners?

- Comment on NonSteamLaunchers gets booted from Steam Deck plugin store Decky Loader 2 months ago:
Heroic has the option to automatically add games to steam. Also it works quite well in game mode if you add it as a non steam game and can then be controlled entirely with a controller. That’s the most convenient option I found.

- Comment on Junk Store (for installing Epic and GoG games on the Deck) is hopefully coming to Steam store 2 months ago:
I mean I get the idea, but if it ain’t open source I’ll just go with the ever so slightly more difficult option of downloading Heroic and adding it as a non steam game.

- Comment on ¿Why does Discover (the software installation manager) occasionally offer me downgrades to lower version numbers in the updates section? 3 months ago:
As far as I know this a display bug, discover sometimes swaps the numbers of the new and previous version. You should be fine updating them

- Comment on [Discussion] New month, new games. What are you playing on your Steam Deck? - May 2024 7 months ago:
I play with the built in controls, I use a slightly modified version of the mouse profile. I constantly switch between touch screen and trackpad control and I personally don’t have a problem with it.
I don’t think there are any mods that revamp the ship. The ship isn’t really that important for the game. In the mobile version the ship just flies on its own
I personally would start with planet erekir, it focuses less on defense and more on producing and commanding troops. Also I really recommend pvp.

Currently playing Mindustry, a factory management tower defense game. Very addicting. It’s free on flathub
