- Comment on Microsoft pushes full-screen ads for Copilot+ PCs on Windows 10 users 8 hours ago:
Im guessing if your pc isn’t good enough to fully run the program it would be slow as shit or something, and people would have a bad impression of it.
So, you know, lets plaster ads for it all your computer instead. That’ll make a great impression!

I was in a 2024 Cherokee and it was insanely frustrating trying to get the window to where I wanted it.
It also looks absolutely nothing like a Jeep Cherokee.

Ah ok. That’s slick.
I wish steam would recognize all the buttons on my gamepad like that. - Comment on Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US 2 weeks ago:
I’ve never seen a steam profile with back paddles before. What game has it?
- Comment on Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US 2 weeks ago:
Paddles on the back have been around for awhile.
- Comment on Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US 2 weeks ago:
Those are the back pedals.
- Comment on Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US 2 weeks ago:
Both the back paddles and gyro are things that are great, and every gamepad should have them, but there’s almost no compatibility with anything on PC.
Most I’ve ever seen is being able to change a button to a back paddle. Not even remapping a key, just a face or shoulder button. I swap it with the stock press buttons. But it’d be great to be able to actually remap keys.

$60 is a lot for two extra buttons and no vibration. Gyro is nice if it actually works with games though.

On one hand is obvious. On the other hand it’s good to point it out for the people that aren’t paying attention.
There’s a fine line between the two. You see this a lot in all of those scientific studies that you read about and think “well, yeah obviously”. It’s good to have proof.

Huh.

They’ve been caught using roms that are available for download.
- Comment on Google Will Track Your Location ‘Every 15 Minutes’—‘Even With GPS Disabled’ 1 month ago:
I was watching a video about a kid that killed his mother. The cops were detailing how they caught him being somewhere else than what he stated.
They weren’t able to track his phone itself, because he had it turned off most of the time. But when he did turn it on they got the ping from nearby cell towers, and then they looked at highway cameras in that area. They were able to ID his license plate that way.
Basically they just ran searches for his phone, and then ran a search for his plates.
All of that data is already collected, all they need to do is “Google” it. Pretty interesting imo. A little scary too.

Ok cool. That’s one of my main concerns with it.

I have a bunch of emus. Does the deck let you put them in your library as a non steam game and play them? That’s how I have them setup on my PC.
- Comment on Nintendo shuts down Ryujinx 1 month ago:
Yeah I haven’t used my switch in a long time. I think I might have power surged it, but I don’t really care enough to even double check.
I have a switch emulator on my external HD along with a bunch of other emulators. When I get my next PC I’ll just play whatever switch games I want on that.

He really is a videogame fan. When he co-created DreamWorks he pushed for a gaming arm of the company. If anyone played Metal of Honor (especially the first one) it’s because of him.
Also, ET helped cause the videogame crash in the 80’s!

The guy is so strange. I’ll see great decisions from him for months, and then it’s like he goes into a dungeon and randomly approves the opposite type of laws for awhile.
Chaotic.
- Comment on God of War Ragnarok PC port suffers review bombing on Steam due to PlayStation Network account requirement 1 month ago:
I read those conversations. I wouldn’t call this review bombing. This is people buying it and being upset with the product, then leaving a review and returning it.

I was thinking that after I commented. Sounds right.

Don’t you need to have the game in order to review it? Or did that change?

I’m going to look up all of their games eventually. They go hard on the systems and that’s a severely lacking quality these days.
Rogue Trader is cool, I’m only a few hours into it though. But man, the camera kills me. It’s got a weird rubber band effect to it that I don’t like.
But it’s mostly a nice improvement, or at least some different takes, on the WotR systems. My main complaint about their games is even with auto end turn on it never automatically ends any turns.

I’m a PC couch player, I’ve played with a controller for the last decade with my 75" TV.
I’d definitely get a dock for it. - Comment on There's a reason we aren't as harsh on the Steam Deck. Actually, a couple. 2 months ago:
WotR, never played Kingmaker. And I just got Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader. I don’t understand how these games aren’t more popular.
